    Can you guys not hate on everything you don’t like? Some people enjoy RWBs and others enjoy Singers. We have opinions, but don’t shit on someone for having something that you don’t love.

    The Singer purists are hilarious, considering they're even less of the original car than RWB's are. Singer cuts the fucking roofs out and replaces them with carbon fiber/fiberglass. RWB uses as much of the original car as possible.

    @@xerodelacroix5552 cutting the roof then replace it with lighter, stronger, and slightly better material? It has the same shape as the original ones on the contrary though what Nakai San does is just putting wider fenders and that's it, no notable improvements unlike Singer's reimagined Porsche's. I don't hate RWB, in fact, I quite like it actually, and I also love Singer's Porsche's.

    @@peperoninja387 They don't just cut the roof. They replace most of the body. And all of the interior. RWB is 90% the original car. Singers are restomods for boomers with too much money, RWB's are for being driven and driven hard.

    @@xerodelacroix5552 I think I've made my point clear, whether is just replacing the roof or the whole body it still has the same concept the same shape, improving something doesn't make it different from the original. But that's just my opinion...

    People hate what is different and what they don't understand......let them. As they try to suck the light from you, leave, just walk away smiling. It's not worth it my friend. If you like something and it brings positive energy to you....why would I stop that? I want you to have that, happy humans are better humans. I love the style of these cars. I see them as samurai with their swoopy armor and function meets form design.

    You spend crazy money so nakai can do half ass work to your car. He doesn’t even touch your motor. All he does is make shitty cuts to your fenders. He doesn’t even put the fender flares on properly. If you want an RWB Porsche only he can give it to you. He won’t sell you the body pieces unless he puts them on. Fuck that. It’s my car, my build. Not your build.

    To me, RWB Porsches are a very direct reference to the old Le Mans GT2 monsters of the late '90s. Look at a Freisinger or a Konrad or a Rook or a Larbre 993 GT2 and you'll know what I'm talking about. Excellent artistic view nonetheless.

    Grey God You can't really compare downhill driving on windy roads with highway driving. Gravity assist and turns and all. Other than that I get what you mean. Why not put your own shop's name on it? Get a left hand drive car? Don't pretend it's a big deal? Or you could get a neat '83 Dodge Charger L body. I couldn't find any for sale online (other than one for 19 thousand), so I'm assuming they're rare. I don't know how that would actually work out.

    Mason Rafferty I get that it's more low power good handling car, I was meaning more as a daily driver. The mid range torque dip it has (like the new GT86/FRS) makes it a bit of a hassle to keep up with regular traffic on highways. In order to have that push it needs, it has to almost always be redlining. I agree on an L Body though, similar styling to the Levin, more room, and more power depending on the version motor you got.

    Will Hoon For Food The general appeal besides the style of RWB is the simple fact that each kit is built by Nakai himself with old fashioned tools and techniques. Watching him turn a basic 911 into what many would say artistic design mixed with track characteristics is a changing experience. Sure, Singer creates a better quality build overall, but you have to admire the creativity and relatively inexpensiveness in comparison.

Saying "You can pronounce it any other way" is like me saying "I'm gonna pronounce your channel 'The4000Grapplinghook.' I know it's pronounced 'The303Garage,' but I like my way more." This was a beautiful video though. Still subbed.

  • @BuckFitchesThe

    @BuckFitchesThe

    Big Pablo I have no problem with saying things differently. Like I said, it's the fact that he knowingly uses the incorrect pronunciation and makes a specific point addressing it. People say "Porsh" all the time because they don't know it's incorrect, or just an alternate pronunciation. In the video, he pronounces Rauh Welt correctly, so he obviously pays attention to pronunciation; then he dedicates and entire part of the video to saying "I'm going to say 'Porsh,'" which is deliberate. Say it however you want, but if you're making a video about something, you better have a decent reason for knowingly mispronouncing the subject. Specifically, people have debating the pronunciation of "Porsche" for a long time, and Porsche has even made videos saying "this is how you pronounce our name." I would say that's pretty definitive, and saying it any other way is incorrect. If someone made a Corvette video that included a 30 second part saying "I know it's 'shev-roh-lay,' but I'm going to say 'chev-raw-lett,' so deal with it," would you not at least question their decision? Edit: Here's that video from Porsche if you wanted to see it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e6Fmx7uud8fTlrw.html

    I don't mind RWB, or if owners choose to hack their own cars. It's their choice and money, and I like how they look. But it's complete BS to think this is done with performance in mind, and the video is full of empty fluff words like "sporting" and other nonsense rhetoric to cover up that it's a poser '80s GT2 Porsche. Difference is, the GT2 arrived at wide fenders and the spoiler after fine tuning the suspension setup, front/rear weight bias, front/rear aero, track width, etc etc. Function came over form. With these cars, kids are shoving the widest tires into these oversized wells for "stance," usually chopping the springs in the process. Zero testing on the track, it's 100% aesthetic. If that's your cup of tea great, but don't pretend like it's some profound testament of performance tuning.

  • @rosooftw
    @rosooftw6 жыл бұрын

    1 - they started building cars right after the midnight club disbanded. None of their bodyworks is done in wind tunnels. None of is built for racing or downforce. It's all very rough and built through rivets and seeing just how wide he car get tires. 2 - He doesn't actually use technology to get the job done. He just cuts and pastes and rivets. It's like a drifter wanting to cut spring on their drift car. Which, ironically, what he was into before this. 3 - He builds cars with no practicality in mind. No clear idea of how he wants the car to perform. Because, of course, he has no idea how such a car will perform. They're not build to perform. They're build just to look extreme. In America, we have a word for people who people who build crazy looking cars that look like they would beat anything on the road but are actually pieces of junk that may actually be dangerous. Rice. That is what this man builds. Rice. He destroys old porsches for guys who want something to look extreme and crazy when, in fact, it's more likely to kill them. Of course, the air cooled 911s were widowmakers right out of the box. Adding a bunch of tire here, downforces here. Just do it alone by hand because you're and 'artist' and you have a recipe for a very dangerous vehicle. Lusting after cars like this is silly and ridiculous.

  • @rosooftw

    Someone with an opinion. Take a car that was meant to do one thing and then make it do that thing far worse and far more dangerously is the kind of thing idiots do. Half the people that love RWBs shit all over riced out civics and accords when they dont realize they're the exact same thing. Except one was built to a sporting standard to begin with and ended up worse after (Im talking about the Porsche)

    Some people enjoy things. Can you respect what some people like? Not everyone has to agree with you. It’s not your car, and if you want a 964, or a 993, or a 930, go save up for one. And if you don’t want an RWB, don’t make it an RWB. It’s as simple as that.
