You're right about the engine sound, it's more RB26 or 2JZ than flat 6 and although I'm not usually a fan of the RWB Porsche's but this one very clean and tastefully done. I agree with Phil about the 964 too, my dream 911 is a 964 Carrera RS in Rubystone red.

what a flippin build, absolutely killer!

The biggest thing I love about DW/Phils cars is that he's a master of suspension set up, somehow the car looks like its a hovercraft with no wheel clearance but there's no rubbing & Jonnie saying its probably softer than youd like for track is crazy.

I'm primarily a 993 lover, but 964 is a close second for me. This particular 964 had me drooling and was so tastefully done.

Blimey Jonny - what a car!! Nice to see some more proper performance stuff on the channel from time to time

Strange to hear Promodet being mentioned in an english context...a very respectable and under-the-radar Porsche tuning house in Japan. They make some cool parts!

What a classically beautiful vehicle, so well proportioned

I had a modified 93 RS America with about 320hp, and that car was pretty bonkers compared to my 1980 SC. I can’t imagine what that thing is like to drive with 600+ horsepower. Probably like having a go with a supermodel

911's are so special, I had a 996 Carrera 4 with a full GT3 Mk1 style Aero Kit fitted to the car with BBS wheels and it was just amazing, I will forever miss that car. I'll have a 911 again one day.

A fantastic car and great to see a mini feature on it overall. Personally I think the spoiler compliments the very Japanese, wangan, midnight style racing theme. Definitely one of my top favourites of Phil’s collection. 👏🏼👊🏼

As a Porsche owner & enthusiast I've got a real trouser tent for that car. Bet Rich is lamenting selling his 997.2 now 😉

Had a c plate 911 Turbo in 89 and boy did I love it, could pull nearly a ton in second gear and went like a missile! Daily for six months but felt every pebble in the road , wished I had it now 😢 white with blue trim ❤

Epic car. For me, this and the Merci are without a doubt the best of everything Phil has shared. Technically the Bad Boys 911 was the later 3.6 which is quite different, but the 930/964 silhouette and interior has aged so beautifully. I agree the wing-on-a-wing isn't my thing either and I'm not 100% certain about the front bumper, but I'd very happily spend hours looking at them in my garage given half a chance.

The *only* visual difference between the 91/92 964 Turbo 3.3 and the 93/94 964 Turbo 3.6 are the Speedline wheels and different rear badge (the 3.3 has a chunkier script without the capacity numbers, the 3.6 has a chrome script). Change the wheels and/or fit the replacement chrome script (which many people do; just like Phil has) and virtually no-one can tell the difference.

As my petrol head high school buddy would say, "that looks squirrelly as hell!" Not really a 911 fan but I do like this body style the best. The induction scoops built into each side of the whale tail spoiler are sick (I would have painted the ginormous black wing same as the body but that's just me) Nice one Jonny!

It's a stunning car to look at and drive. All OTT, but that's what makes it so addictive.

Lovely. That kind of turbo boost becomes very addictive but I'd suggest one for dry warm days only.

Nice to see you out and about in South Birmingham. You and that car must have raised a few eyebrows at The Maypole roundabout and on the dual carriageway to the M42! lol

Lovely car, I’m lucky enough to own a 930.....looks completely standard from outside but it’s on full coil overs and with some engine work, running around 450-475 bhp.....bonkers car and a keeper, had a brand new 911 gts targa for the day a few months ago..... amazing car but with no soul or character, not like the 930 spitting fire out of the exhaust 🔥
