This is *RADICALLY* different from what the preceding government had done, which was to rape and KILL every single person it captured. Those prisoners are alive. The ones captured by the previous government are all dead. It’s a big difference. It’s unreasonable to try to gloss it over.

Some of them did, sure. But most of those people were Hutu civilians rounded up by the new Tutsi government for revenge. None of the people in the video had yet gone to trial as Bizimungu and Kagame did not care who participated in what just so long as they were all Hutus

Call me crazy but with DNA this is what prison should look like But then I have I sympathy for criminals at all Viciously attacked twice on the subway Currently with 6 stalkers. The only thing I would add is the death penalty But it's the guy knitting for me those are his weapons

the external areas are surrounded by landmines, many of which no one even knows the location of, as they are very old. The prison walls are not that high, but no one has the courage to walk through the minefield. I, in their place, would rather take the risk

This was in 1995 a year after the 1994 genocide against the tutsi. Rwanda was very underdeveloped and the crimerates were through the roof since the 1 million lives were taken by probably 100,000 others, who are the ones you see in that prison. They sure as hell deserved to be there or worse places but in the end, the governemnt built several new facilities for them and forgave plenty of them.

I'd rather got death sentence than has to live like that.

You should be praying for the victims of the 1994 genocide against the tutsis who these holligans your sympathising with perpertrated. They didn't even deserve a place as good as this. Anyway, these conditions were a result of the fact that the government was overwhelmed at the time, with the number of criminals probably being 5 times the amount of criminals the prison facilities could accomodate. However new and better facilities were built and a lot of them were forgiven so the conditions were much better a few years down the road.
