@@aimee-lynndonovan6077 I’m in Southeastern Ontario, about an hour northwest of New York State. I have a high tech weather station and it has recorded only 1.5mm of rain so far in August. Normal is 25mm/week! My grass is brown and the only things I’m watering are the stuff in planters. And I use the water from my dehumidifier because it’s so bloody hot and humid here. Don’t swim but there’s a splash pad here that my grandkids enjoy more than swimming! And no land sharks that I know of … there were land sharks on Saturday Night Live when the original cast was Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, etc. Did a regular skit feature with land sharks. But I’m in my 60’s so you won’t get the joke unless you’re an old bag like me, lol!

Allowing parents to raise children during the critical year one is vital for healthy kids and society. The expense is not factoring in the wellbeing of the entire society. Healthy children lead to healthy societies. The conservative party sense opportunity with parents of toddlers. the game is afoot. USA is terrible with regard to maternity leave. Two weeks if you are lucky.

What's that tiny dot in the distance on the lake? Is it be the Loch Ness monster taking a break in Reykjavík? Could it even be the mysterious Lagarfljótsormur? Oh it's Polly! Lava cools crazily slowly if it isn't in contact with the atmosphere or water. In 1959, a crater called Kilauea Iki erupted on Hawaii and formed a pool of lava 120m thick. It is estimated it did not entirely solidify until 1995 and the heart of the lava still somewhere over 500C.

I like water too, so I fully understand Polly ;-) For me it's nice weather when it's not too hot and a bit of rain does not hurt (in a very controlled environment. But I would have some respect for Icelandic rain and snow storms of course). Back to the topic: Many thanks for your videos! I think Valur once said she's Border Collie and Corgi. The border collie fits; working dog breeds need to DO something, which is why Polly's a bit high strung. Even corgis were first developed for herding cattle by nipping at their feet. Thankfully, Polly has owners who understand her and keep her occupied chasing balls, frisbees, and such, especially outdoors where she can run to her heart's content, which keeps her temperament loving, happy, and sweet. Working dogs need something to do; otherwise they literally go crazy. It's cruel to keep big and working dogs in tiny apartments with nothing to do; that's why they become destructive. Somewhere on KZread are a couple of documentaries about dogs, from the domestication of wolves to different dog breeds, how the various breeds were developed for working dogs, for hunting dogs, for show dogs, etc. With that much selective breeding it's the fault of humans that there are vicious dog breeds.
