What a great idea; you could have breakfast, see the sights, relax in the camper for a while, maybe take a little nap before driving back home!

Very pretty! Reminds of that old joke, "what's better that roses on your piano?"

Just what the wifey was asking for. The trip may have to wait till retirement so we can spend the spring and summer to see all the flower changes in the area. It will be a long drive from AZ.

Why do the police allow all the homeless there? THat is so wrong.

Its provincial land so its out of the local police jurisdiction and because there is a shortage of housing and shelters, if they kick them out they will have nowhere to go. At least this keeps them contained and out of the city centers. What's extra depressing is how many have trucks with logos... in other words some of these folks are working people who simply can't afford these Vancouver area housing costs. It would be nice at least if they could create some temporary RV-park space for these working poor so these folks could park there, for now. The system is broken north and south of the border... red state and blue states alike. :(

@@RVingWithJoe I was a homeless methhead so I know about being homeless, and why 93% of the homeless are homeless, it is less of the working poor than the tweaking addicts, sad but true.

@@RVingWithJoe Eugene, Oregon. We worked with the local bumblebrats to create several contained areas for addicts and ferals. . We call them a generic 'Opportunity Village', and they have showers and a communal kitchen. . Housing are 8' x 12' hard-side structures, although we started the projects with 'Conestoga' platforms using opaque plastic tarps for a roof. . Self-policing, because if they goof-up, eviction means they are back to camping in some vacant swamp.

@@RVingWithJoe Eugene, Oregon. We also worked with bumblebrats to expand the concept of 'Living Unit'. . We can convert attics and basements, plus park RecreateVehicles in side-yards and back-yards. . We are flexible with Aux Dwelling Units ('ADU') and granny-cottages. Although the basic square footage is restricted by federal building codes, we increase the living space with pop-out sitting rooms and bay-windows. Apparently, as long as the pop-out is self-supporting and not touching the ground, that area doesn't count against the square footage. . We also increase the cubic height with a short second story. Apparently, as long as the second story ceiling is less than 5' tall, that entire space doesn't count against the square footage.
