So so proud of Rusyn brothers and sisters! ❤ Serbia
I am very proud of Serbian culture, we treat our Slavic brothers so well. It’s amazing that they preserved their culture and language so well, considering it’s very similar, best regards ❤️

@@user-hj7pj6qj5o I don't speak Rusyn at all and only speak Serbian as a second language, but I think you guys don't have Serbian accent at all. Serbian has mostly free accent, and frankly, as a native Polish speaker, a huge pain to learn. Pannonian Rusyn OTOH seems to have fixed accent on second-to-last syllable from what I hear, and that's exactly the same as in Polish.

@@Axacqk You are right. It is a Slovak Šariš accent, not Serbian.
Awesome video! I'm one of the lucky "foreigners" who were welcomed at the РКЦ in Novi Sad! It's truly a gathering place for anybody who wants to learn more about the Rusyns in Vojvodina. It's also a must to visit Ruski Krstur, the original center of Rusyn culture in the region. It's nice to see Marko and Ivan sitting in the back courtyard of the РКЦ, it's a beautiful setting in the center of Novi Sad. The Rusyn church can be seen directly in the background of the frame. Much love to the Rusyns in Novi Sad from Youngstown, Ohio!

As a pole I can understand the Pannonia Rusyn better
As a Polish speaker who speaks decent English, it's still easier for me to follow just by listening than by reading English subtitles. Pannonian Rusyn immediately feels close to Polish due to the paroxytonic accent.

It was a very resourceful information about Rusyn nationality, since my grandmother from my mother side was Rusyn origin. Her name was Agnes Kanyuk, she was born in Szatmárnémeti, today it is called Satu Mare, Romania in 1885.

Of what I know, Rusyn is more well known in Vojvodina since that's where a lot of them live within Serbia, and Rusyn is a protected minority language in Serbia. They have their own language school, TV and media.
