I love the fact that you treated every piece with the vegetable oil. The hand painting and the bold color really puts it all together. The craftsmanship of methodically inspecting and fixing each piece was nice to see. Creating the wood base was a nice ending to the restoration. You definitely have skills. It is good to see the tradition of master and apprentice continue on throughout the years. Watching this also builds in me the confidence that no fancy tools are needed to do a restoration. Also, the acceptance there are some things that cannot be restored for further use. We must respect the craftsmanship of days gone by where durability was the hallmark of the brand. Avril the shop manager does a wonderful job keeping them on task. May you all have a safe week.

Another wonderful restoration, and another approval inspection by Avril. Glad to see you have a Lathe for making those small special fixings, I think you will now need to make a tailstock Die holder, you will also find that high speed lathe tools are better for these small turning jobs than the tipped tools, which chip very easily, you have a bench grinder, so you can sharpen HSS tools to whatever shape you need. Take care! Chris B.
