Brazing might have been a better solution than ARC welding with preheating and slowly cooling in a fire blanket or sand.

I’m not too sure, but it looks like a kind of sequoioideae wood (sequoias) or a sapele. Would need them to confirm 😅

Excellent work and beautiful finished product, as always. Reminded me of living at my parents’ home: my mother used an antique coffee grinder which was mounted to the kitchen wall directly below my bedroom. Spent much of my childhood waking up to the sound of my mother grinding her morning coffee beans directly below my head 😂

I love these types of honest resto videos. They are always in frame of "one million litres of CRC later" because that is a truth. I have done some of this type of stuff and well... Two cans later. I had my car's bolts loosened.

What a quality and simplicity. It does what it supposed to do. Grind coffee-beans. No blinking lights, no beeps. Hands up if you think that in year 2124 you can restore a coffee-grinder built today in 2024.
