One more comment….. this toy represents monumental change. It’s a product of an era when horse and buggy, mule and wagon, oxen and plow were the norm throughout the world. The men who drove these old trucks on which this was patterned were born in a time where 90% of people never traveled more than 10 miles away from their birthplace and the entire world population was less than 2 billion. The rarity of a toy like this is even greater than the actual full size vehicles.

At first you could'nt think it is possible to restore this van, but the restorer have everything one need to make this van sparkling new. Well done!!

This was some young boy's toy during the Great Depression. I bet the boy loved it very much and it warms my heart to see the love that this man gives it. Amazing!

I've watched quite a few of these restoration channels and I'm sure a bunch of them artificially rust and damage stuff so they have something to work on. Finding them in the state they are in so regularly doesn't seem feasible to me but hey, it's still cool to watch.

I know it’s an inanimate object but I think you could feel the “happiness” coming from that toy truck after it was restored.

Absolutely amazing. I have some of my deceased dad's metal toys from when he was a child. They are in bad shape, but I never imagined that they could be restored.

I restore antique fabric pieces. How often I look at something and think, "Nope This one is beyond.." and then find a way to make the restoring work. There is no greater reward. A recent Cajun quilt I lovingly re-birthed, is signed by the woman who made it - VICKI. My dream now? For someone on FB to see it and step up, saying, "Vicki was my grandma, she made that for grandad, who loved fishing!" Keep up this heartwarming work....I totally understand how very rewarding it can be, bringing pieces like these....back to life.

Oh my gosh, this has to be the best restoration video ever. Simply incredible.

It's not from the depression era. This is likely from the 50's or early 60's. I'm a vintage toy dealer. Though it is a representation of a truck from the 30's.

Я смотрю его видосы чисто чтобы поржать. Имея кучу инструментов и химикатов автор умудряется творить лютую дичь и выдает колхозный самопал за реставрацию. Да, большой труд, он молодец, но по моему у него IQ ниже плинтуса, поэтому ему так сложно делать что то нормальное и это героизм. Вырезал кузов из какой то фольги и "спаял" его так, что кузов чуть ли не восьмеркой вывернут. Ну ржака же. 😅

How appropriate that you made it into an ambulance....and like a surgeon, you preserved as much as possible of the original body.

This restore is mind boggling, even after watching it happen. I spent the first half of the video asking "why is he even bothering, there's NOTHING to work with on this one" and then just sitting in awe as he rebuilt this entire thing. A mi me da la impresion de que arruina modelos a proposito, para luego restaurarlos. El reto seria buscar y conseguir coches verdaderamente arruinados por factores externos, y luego usar su super ingenio y habilidad arreglandolos. No dudo que es muy bueno, ingenioso y tiene todas las herramientas necesarias, pero me encantaria ver una restauracion donde no tenga refaciones y tenga que hacerlo todo desde cero. Ese seria un reto y un gusto mucho mayor. Saludos.

@@SentaiRiderCovers Nunca dije demeritar su trabajo: Es muy bueno. Pero es muy probable que compra coches para descomponerlos y luego repararlos. Su trabajo es muy bueno, pero seria mejor si fueran coches verdaderamente rescatados del abandono y no maltratados a proposito. Checalo en otros videos . La inmensa mayoria, son coches recientes, y casualmente tiene todas las refacciones. Es casi imposible obtenerlas sin desbaratar otros modelos. Y te aclaro, no me interesa demeritar un Trabajo de Calidad tan bueno como el que el hace. Comprendes?

i love these restoration videos, they make me want to buy some useless junk on ebay and try to do the same thing, but without the proper equipment.

Hello! Amazing job, as usual! One question: what do you think would be the best way to stabilize a hollow letter made of thin metal (you know, the sort of letters used for cardinal directions in weathercocks, like W - west, S - south etc). This metal has holes and slits in some parts, and can break easily if I squeeze the letter a bit harder. I was thinking of pouring some epoxy inside, let it harden and then add some car epoxy filler to fill the remaining caverns, so I can sand and paint the whole thing afterwards. The only drawback is that epoxy is quite runny and I don't know how to prevent it from pouring back through these small holes and slits.What do you think? Is there a better way? Thank you!
