Thank you, Joanie. I ended up buying a cheap set of wood carving tools and every day after school, both on my kids wanted to go straight out to my freezing shop and make wood chips. My uncle was an amazing wood carver. Maybe it’s in my kids too?😬

If you use a tapered plug it will fit the hole tight. Then you can pop the excess off with a chisel. If you cut a small arch on the sides it will help it to sit without rocking. Most floors are not flat and this will help keep it from rocking on different floors

Got a few tips that may help you out some. 1, I clean my cast iron tables with WD-40 n' # 0000 steel wool(or #00 if really bad) then Johnson Paste wax (helps with humidity issues) keeps the rust at bay. 2...I Replaced my bandsaw belts with Urethane belts, (they don't dry out) 3. ..You need a bigger shop for all of Dad's tools!
