Turns out that the song from the first part was copyrighted. Interesting how upon further research on the claimant everyone says that they are up to sketchy stuff like fake claims, besides, the composition got claimed, which was published in 1906, making it 113 years old. I submitted a dispute but that might take 30 days after which i might lose it anyways. I have to be more careful in the future and test every single piece of music that i use. What i'm asking for it's if anyone has some change to spare at least until the next video comes out? www.patreon.com/juiceglass Every penny matters!

Honestly it’s remarkable you animated the correct weaponry for both sides. With the Russian soldiers with their long m1891 Mosin’s/officers with the Nagant m1895 revolvers. And the Japanese with the Arisaka type 38’s/officers with katanas and model 23 revolvers. Not to mentioned uniform caps with the specific rank/branch cockades. And the Russian winter caps.

There's something about the music that adds a sense of calmness and peace to the battlefield, even though you can see that it's hell, with the wind and the cracking of the rifles and the explosions of the cannons, there's something about it that I can't describe, it fills me with countering emotions of sadness, excitement, and joy, but instead of coming together as confusion, it mixes into a suprisingly great video and experience. Juice glass, you're soaring through our expectations, and some, our hearts. Edit: Also, you're art is improving nicely :p

This animation is just a piece of art. Everything is so harmonically combined. The calming yet sad music complements the action. The transitions are very smooth. The backgrounds are well drawn and God, those battleships are top notch, they look like 3D models. The ending is very hearth-touching and it makes us see war different, it makes us realize that we are humans after all and we should respect and help eachother rather than fight. I am thankful for being here since your beggings in animations and I can see a huge huge quality improvement. I am looking forward to your next projects and until then you'll have my full appreciation and support. #countryballs #polandball #animation #romania

True, but back then a lot of those old men had battlefield experience themselves from previous wars, so they at least knew that sending them over there wasn't going to be a parade. It's NOT the case today at all. Now anyone can rise through the political ranks as a civilian and find themselves giving nationally critical orders to the military that may decide our fate. It doesn't sit right with me.

10/10 video, and I love the attention to detail with the weapons used but there are still some errors such as: 1. Japanese officers shown anachronistically using shin gunto swords (which is based off the katana). While they are real, they weren't issued until the mid-30's when nationalism was rising due to the new authoritarian government at the time. Kyu gunto swords (which were based off European military sabers) were what was actually used by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Russo-Japanese War. However, I understand your usage of the shin gunto sword, as I speculate you did so as a visual contrast to the sabers used by the Russian officers and artistic liberties. 2. @1:45 a machete cutting a rifle in half, seriously? 3. @5:45 the usage of a Mauser stripper clip, instead of a Mosin-Nagant stripper clip (which is blockier) to charger load a Mosin. Here, I assume that you didn't have the time to draw one, and that's okay since it is a minor detail that is easily overlooked by many. 4. @5:54, 6:00, 6:10, and 7:26 the anachronistic usage of Winchester Model 1895 rifles (with even more anachronistic Mosin stripper clip guides) by Russian forces. While it's true that the Imperial Russian Army used this rifle and that it was introduced in 1895 before the Russo-Japanese War of 1904, they did not order the rifle until 1915 during World War 1 (which were even designated by Winchester as the Model 1915). This time I cannot fully understand why you added this rifle, perhaps you were mistaken and assumed the rifle was used during the Russo-Japanese War, or you also took artistic liberties on this one?

The first part is based on a true story, where the Russians were encircled. The regimental commander ordered a bayonet charge with 60 musicians to boost morale. The 4000 Russians charged the Japanese, and the fighting was brutal. In the end, the regimental commander died, 3,300 Russians, and 53 musicians. When they returned, the musicians were all awarded the St. George's cross, posthumously or otherwise.

The teacher of Tolstoy's children, Vasily Ivanovich Alekseev, wrote in his memoirs: "Lev Nikolayevich treated national discord negatively. He said: "For me, the equality of all people is an axiom, without which it is impossible to think." And when Tolstoy found out that this "axiom" was not recognized or violated by someone, he brought down all his anger on the heads of its "violators".

This video is beautiful, it's a really good representation of the horror of the war and in particular the russo-japanese war, the animation is really well done and the music is really in tune with what is happening and the scene of the funeral was really dramatic and it gave me emotional stimulation, which is rare. I really love what you are doing, keep going!
