Pink Floyd are brilliantly different.

You really need to check out the version on the 1994 Pulse concert so you can see David playing the pedal steel guitar live. That's how he hits such high notes with the pedal steel.

There is a Catholic church 2 blocks from my house. It has an actual bell tower and the bells chime every hour, on the hour. There is a certain comfort in hearing them everyday.

This song is about David looking back at his life and remembering, every line of the song is important as are the images that go along with it, if you know their history then you can read it like a book, it's obvious if you know, unfortunately it's too long and complicated to get into here. Just enjoy the journey.

The church bell's in the song are from England. As there a English band (church of England) I'm not religious

Such a powerful song, and, your word is a good one, conceptual--the music, lyrics, and visuals create wide concepts that don't have to be only one narrow thing. The weird thing is that by using these very concrete images with very straightforward, but intricate, music they actually create more space for the imagination.

@@RussianReactionReviews There are some other really good bands serving this genre. For example get into Alan Parsons Project (live Alan Parsons Symphonic Project) e.g. La Sagrada Familia. I'm quite sure you'll like it. Alan Parsons helped to create PF's Album "Dark side of the moon" with the special effects. He's also a unbelievable good musician. Enjoy it! I love Alan Parson's Album "Tales of Mysterey and Imagination" about stories from Edgar Alan Poe very much. Just try it out!

You should watch The Wall movie based on their album The Wall, it brings the real album to life. I saw them live in 1994, it was all perfect, the best concert I've ever seen. You should also check out The Great Big Gig in the sky featuring Rachel Fury, Durga McBroom and Margret Taylor, that's the best version, it will send chills up your spine.
