Japan specially requested India to include its top-of-the-line Su-30MKI in the mock battles. Japan wants to learn how to defend against similar Sukhoi planes from China.. except Su-30MKI is much advanced. Update: India already has performed several Air exercises with US and its western allies for many years so it knows F16 and other US aircraft well. This is purely advantageous to Japan, make no mistake. India is helping Japan to learn how to counter Sukhoi planes which China also owns. And also to improve defense ties with Japan. Remember, Japan, India, US and Australia are part of the QUAD. I need to make this clear because in Japan generally people are ignorant about India, have stereotypical thoughts and thus may have the wrong idea about India.

To be precise Su30MKI is Flanker-H. And MKI in Russian stands for "Modernizirovannyi, Kommercheskiy, Indiski", which translates to Modernized, Commercial, Indian. These aircrafts are completely built in India by HAL under license and is tailor made for Indian needs. i.e Indian , french and Israeli weapons, avionics and subsystems are used in this. Which makes this perticular Flanker-H unique and advanced in the world.

Well the su30 sm or the superior MKI is way more advance ,superior and dominant then f16s,f15s and the f35s in a dogfight and wvr scenarios....and we took out a f16 with a mig21 bison.....so no problemo....we are here only to improve relationships and interoperability nothing to learn......atleast for us...

The Sukhoi 30 MKI is an absolute beast. This combination of Russian, Israeli and French technology makes it absolutely one of a kind. The only thing it's missing is a few pure EW platforms in it's swarm. With good AWACS, it can be an absolute gamechanger, but India needs much more of these.

SU-30MKI - An Indian version When it born India demend to Russia add feature of SU-35 and SU-27 on SU-30 and Indians integrated Israel avionics and Russian, Indian, French and Israel weapons. And updating every year like the most advanced reder system and engine etc. Which is assembling india and many parts manufacturing in India only. The Indian version of Su-30 (MKI) is a unique flying beast.

It's really strange to know that Japnese people know little about INDIA but having a wrong perception about our country is further strange as we believed that Japan is a very culturally rich country like ours and we Indians always have a good and friendly perception for JAPAN though we know not much about the JAPAN as well. We also feel that since being a member of the QUAD we should have a close cooperation with JAPAN but since Quad includes US also which we Indian people don't trust as we have a long history of anti Indian acts done by the US in the past and there is a heavy presence of US in Japan which I think makes it more difficult for the two countries to actually open up to each other in a way we are with our many friendly nation's like Israel, like France like Russia , hope you won't mind our thoughts but we have great respect for JAPAN owing to the WW2 help given by JAPAN to our great national hero NETA JI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE and his founded Indian Army which fought for our freedom. We would like to know JAPAN and its people more and we expect the same as well irrespective of any west media propaganda. What we actually need is to believe in each other more.and we have a common enemy to counter🙏🙏

@@Tarun_brahman108 sorry to say brother you're wrong though Japan presently is one among the most trusted and good economic partner but truth is when indian and Burmese🇲🇲 leader went to Japan 🇯🇵 for asking help to push out british instead what they did was launch an another colonization in Burmese / Myanmar 🇲🇲 and failed heavily North eastern boundaries area of india 🇮🇳 during WW2.

Did anyone knows that first SU30 mki landed was flew by female pilot squadron leader Avni Chaturvedi???

It's a Russian design off course but they were built in India to Indian specifications. It's kinda like the Mitsubishi F2, which is an F-16 (an American design) but built in Japan to Japanese specifications. 😊👍

The first and last IAF arrivals are Beoing C-17 Globmaster aircraft and NOT the Ilyushin IL-78 as suggested in the video at 18:04

No they did not get to know anything that the American's don't already know. Looking at a aircraft from outside is one thing, getting into the gut is another, and the Su 30 mki ( i stands for India) is customized by India for it's own requirements, it has Israeli & French avionics plus weapons developed in India itself. Besides, the military philosophy & tactics used by IAF are similar to the UK 's RAF, not Russia. And finally the Indian government is NOT dumb, IF there's anything secret or special about the mki, then it will NOT be exposed. The only reason why India is participating in this exercise, is to give the Japanese pilots, real time experience flying against the flanker. If by chance, the CCP stopped talking, and actually ( tried to) start shooting. ( at Taiwan).

Nice capture! Hope both forces learn and we see better cooperation in future. Su-30 MKIs can help learn our Japanese brothers to counter Su-30 MKK as well as J-11.

@H L Just mention Russian SU-35. J series useless for many outside China. They are as useless and kill more Chinese in combat as Chinese vaccine doing in current covid outbreak in China. However see what happening in Taiwan they are honest one who driven through it.

戦闘機とか高性能機でパイロットが慣れていれば風下方向でも格納庫が近いとかで着陸するのかもしれないですね。北米で格納庫が近いと言う理由で消防の小型機が風下で着陸したのを見たことがあります。
