I'm Greek and a polyglot. I speak fluently 4 languages and have also been learning Russian for a year and a half. It is probably the most difficult one, but I love it and see it as a challenge to achieve fluency. I also love to write it - it's similar to Greek, but also so different. A really cool language and is spoken/understood in so many Eastern countries.

Oh this is bringing back memories! 1981 I took over my brother's basement apartment and I met my Russian landlords, Susan and Misha. They had a 9 year old daughter Annie who was totally bilingual. I could actually read a first grade book. Well all that faded through the years and all I remember was yes, no, thank you, and goodbye. For me being a little hearing impaired the endings of Russian words kinda to me run together unlike French or Spanish. But I'm going to save this and try to learn these words. It'll help me with listening and trying to get every sound. Susan was the one trying to teach me and she was very patient. Then they moved. On my father's side I'm part Russian amongst other things.
