Russians use standard military Su35. USA use specially prepared jets for acro groups. These planes are combat ready.

That was tight, easily one of the best jobs in the world is a jet fighter pilot.
Brilliant display of pilot skill in a great looking aircraft. Congratulations to the pilots, the support crews and all those involved in the design, engineering, manufacturing and those who do the initial testing of these aircraft. Absolutely awesome achievement.

Technically that is a cobra stance, not a cobra. While the Su-35 is capable of a cobra, the Russian Knights don't perform one.

I love the Su-35S aircraft.
This shows the aircraft's incredible maneuvering capabilities. And, of course, the pilot's skills in this machine are also important.

I’m not ignorant enough to say this isn’t incredibly difficult and impressive piloting. However, I have been spoiled by too many Blue Angles shows. These Su-35s are gorgeous in high alpha 🙏🏼

Different types of planes though. Blue Angels have certain modifications. The Knights fly on a standard Su 30's and 35's with zero modifications made to the plane.

@ivflash6363 - That is not a "modification", it is an intentional flexibility in the design of the aircraft. The Su-35 - like almost every fast jet - has pylons which can be added, swapped or removed from one mission to the next depending on needs. Pylons are also frequently removed between sorties for inspections. Some missions require pylons, some don't, and some require multi-ejector racks; they can be added, removed or swapped quickly and easily by regular aircraft maintainers.

This is amazing. My dad was in the parachute regiment just after the 2nd World War. When Britain had National Service. He did his full term and travelled all over the world including Austria and Egypt. He used to be in the skiing team for the Army. A company I worked for in Britain used to provide tickets for air shows like this and I used to get them for him. Sadly he passed away 2 years ago at the age of 94. Thank you for this video.

You should come to Austria next year when Airpower24 will happen… I saw the Knights last time in 1997 when there were only 4 Su-27… now with 6 this looks way more impressive
