I can now imagine some kind of nail shotgun that drones will poop out now to counter these balloon tanks, but Ukrainians are just competent enough to decipher the fake ones anyways so no need, but I wouldn't mind popping a bunch and give the russians false hope

Even in WWII they were wise to fake stuff. The Spitfire's had stereoscopic cameras so footage could be reviewed in 3D. The Ukrainians seem to be smarter and are building detailed solid fake tanks, not inflatables.

@@LostCloudx4 It's called recon "a drone team" is just 3 guys and doesn't waste anything compared to what it was back in WW2, that you need a squad of two figthers to do the recon and wasting fuel.

@@utialtec Exactly, 3 guys sent to an area of activity which turned out to be nothing but balloons...whilst the actual threats are still undiscovered or allowed more time to move into position etc etc. So ... like i said.. it still worked.

I read a good historical fiction novel called "The War Magician" about deception being used in WWII. Definitely worth a read (if you like to read).

Yes the most well known example of this being "The Ghost Army" in the lead up to Op Overlord. Although recon by the Luftwaffe didn't have HD zoom cameras 😂. Good try though ruskies

​@@odrs a really thin aluminum fold can hide a thermal image, even a plastic trash bag could do it so i dont think that this camo idea is a bad one. i don know what would they do with the exhaust gases and the fact that a stationary tank isnt woth too much and if they see it moving they will automatically know its not fake 😅

look at the footage for more than 2 seconds no detail on the body, obvious balloon inflation marks on the turret, the body is just a rectangle, the barrel of the cannon is just stuffed in a circular shape representing the turret. There is no tank on Earth that looks this much like a toy.

Same tactic was used by the Serbs in 1999 to fool NATO bombers and it worked like a charm.

@@David-eh9le It did. The Serbian army remained intact, despite NATO claims that it destroyed its entire military infrastructure in the fist week.. The only thing NATO was good at was bombing civilian targets, like bridges, schools, hospitals and embassies. NATO is purely a terroriist organisation

Ukrainian troops could pick those up. Paint a few Ukrainian logos on them and use Russia against itself again. That's the funny thing, the Russians would probably think they were the real thing and fire off some 10Me missile per rubber tank.
