I think along with AMCA development by india,india should look to buy Sukhoi 57 as china has already 5th generation stealth aircraft and pakistan is going to buy china's stealth aircraft , India can't wait for a decade for the induction of its indigenous 5th generation AMCA . India should consider to buy Russia 5th gen Sukhoi in limited no. Enough to counter China's 5th gen aircraft threat near border .

Although many defence officials call this not a perfect 5th Gen aircraft because of questions raised on its stealth capability but they still have better fighter aircraft as compared to India's 4.5 Rafael ,Tejas & as their action increased along the Indian border ,we can't wait for one decade to have 5th Gen aircraft .

@@_snehaa_._2 you're thinking you have more information then indian airforce officials they focusing indigenous jets like Tejas mk1 mk2 mk3 Mk2 has been ordered more than 200 jets in February and they want 5th generation made in India jets like amca cats program
We should not use it till it's tested in battlefield as Russia itself has not used this jets in Ukraine

It's simple humari baski hi nahi hain aur turkey ke neighbors uske enemy nahi hain. China already have 200 5th gen jets and pak will soon acquire these and you expect India to keep focusing on amca which could take decades to be inducted.

Joint development will surely include i think TOT, as this was one of the reason India pulled out from FGFA.
Bharat must in mission mode procure and manufacture fighter aircraft .

Best option is joint venture between Russia and India. AMCA besides 5th generation fighter will take minimum ten years, then 6th generation fighter will come out from USA and China

Jitni joint manufacturing, technology Russia ne Bharat ko transfer Kari hai utni kisi aur ne Nahi Kari. Aur Russia always free hand deta hai Bharat ko. Aur sub kuj cheap price mein milta hai. Bully, Unreliable western countries ke sath Bharat weapons ki koi bhi deal Na kare.
We need technology transfer and manufacturing to be done in India. Else... We have to depend on Russia for spares during war with China and it has its ways to control Russia.
If they are made in india then it is good.atlesst let them come to infia and open a manufacturing unit here and parts must be atleast 80% given by indian companies so that it reduces production time. Cuz no matter what we do . Our kaveri engine will take 10 years to be developed as per air force requirements, so saffron or GE ganging up to give powerful 6th gen engine and TOT but still . Since its will take more than 2035 for us to build our own functional protoype of AMCA . For now having a 5th gen for emergencies like war with china or pak .. su57 might be best best . For doing deep strikes rafale may be eligible but still its not stealthy enough to be undetectable in enemy zone
This is a big very big news..
Only possible way of aquisition should be licence making - Russia is bogged down as it is, and cannot support deliveries, in tandem with its own requirement. Furthermore, it should be considered that Russia failed to achieve air supremacy in ukraine hence it should be only procured after reasonanle testing.

Bharat should manufacture weapons, develop technology in Bharat and made them in collaboration with Russia and buy from Russia but should never buy from america. Buying weapons from america means helping economy of Criminal america. Bharat should Not collaborate with america for weapons manufacturing. Also america weapons are expensive. american weapons r less advanced technically as compared to Russia. Russia transfer technology to Bharat without any conditions but this is not the case with america. america put too many restrictions on weapon usage,where as Russia always give free hand. In case of war backstabber, untrustworthy america can stop supply of weapons,can increase price of weapons,also can activate killer switch of weapons.
