I suspect that those 47.500€ are the number they arrived at by dividing the actually paid death compensation sum by the officially acknowledged number of dead, which is something like a 20th of the real number (of free actual russian citizens who died serving the military). that would be in the ballpark of 2400€ per family, which sounds about right to me.

More pay won't do anything for soldiers' training, it just makes it easier to set them up for failure. The US (and probably other NATO members) don't pay soldiers bonuses for missions, they pay bonuses for completing the training required for mission success.

Bonuses for captured territory or killed opponents is what a mercenary army would do. Russia regularly accuses Ukrainian soldiers of being American mercenaries, but they're mercenaries themselves.

Theres a difference between a soldier being paid a performance bonus by their gvt and a free agent being paid by a foreign gvt to fight their enemies for them. One is a soldier, the other is a mercenary. The US military pays Hostile Fire/Imminent Danger bonuses. Russia doesnt. So, maybe hold off on the moral superiority, until you learn and understand what you're talking about.

Yeah the west consisting of over 40 small and big countries, we will provide Ukraine with all sorts of weapons, space based intelligence, spy connections and even send thousands of machineries place thousands of economic sanctions to aid Ukraine in it's war, But the Russians are not succeeding well anyone with a head hanging on his shoulders and a fully functional brain understands that this is a proxy war for by more than 41 countries against 1, The aim being to maintain perceived loss of control over global matters, But the mistake is that the west does not realize that the inferiority complex imposed on the rest of the world over a few centuries is completely gone and people's are willing to challenge the powers that be for participation in global affairs, Rather than sitting passively and waiting for instructions from some kind of drug induced maniac on suits.

Russia can promise them 10 times the wage, the wages are with held anyway, when the orcs are killed they are listed as 'missing' and so no compensation is paid. The bonus for gaining ground will only incentives officers to treat their men even more like pawns and cannon fodder.

@@Shinshocks555 good thing for them that their cost of living in Russia it is exponentially lower than in the US or the EU Anyway, I don’t know the numbers that you are comparing with but here in Canada the minimum wage is about €1300 before taxes which let you with about 1000 net the video was mentioning that the average Russian soldier gets paid €2000 a month
