Well deserved. This man played his ass off for 82 games with more ferocity than most NBA teams play with. Considering the fact he lost a superstar in KD, and all he was left with was role players and such, Russell showed the league that not only is he a top player, no matter what anyone says, but he was the MVP this year. Give it up for Russ #Respect

I remember watching this live, almost cried lol. Without Westbrook I’d never be watching nor playing basketball, no matter what happens next in his career he’ll always be my favorite player ever. Seriously one of the biggest inspirations in my life.

When you have that much supporting cast you don’t need to score that much you just need to pass and play make because Davis already got the defending part out the way, when he played…

I will continue to support and love my favorite player in the league nobody plays at 150% like him every game, they say he’s selfish but he’s far from that, he’s given up a lot of his game to make the lakers work, just like how he did with the OKC George Melo trio, On the rockets he did the same until he found his role in the team, Wizards he did the same and played great 2nd half of those seasons, LeBron is my all time favorite like how Jordan is to everyone but we all know playing with LeBron is no easy task

Just watched this beautiful speech for the 1st time. Those are not tears coming out my eyes, my eyes are just sweating.

"So many haters say The stat padder wins MVP are you freaking kidding me? All 3 deserve it but when you make history they are going to give it to you. Especially a record no broken in +40 years, Beastbrook averaged a triple-double for the entire season he deserves the MVP award! If he didn't win I would prob quit watching NBA. Once again well deserved.

the thing is... a triple double really doesnt mean more than it is. he averaged 2 more boards than harden thats about it. all his fans make it look like that triple double is something EXTRA. no doubt he was one of the best players this season. no doubt... but to say he was a clear cut winner is just dumb. russ, harden, kawhi, lebron, kd, even curry... they all couldve won it. they all had a strong case for it. russ and harden had the flashiest stats and were the most similarly amazing. lebron and kawhi carried their teams to the top with also great stats on both ends. kd and curry were the best players on the best team, they were 2 of the most efficient players. so in my eyes any one of those guys couldve won it. shame curry won it over harden earlier, then it would be perfect if kawhi got the next one lol...

itsKarlDesigns Ye, but look at how much help all those guys you mentioned had. Russ has to put his trust in his best shooters who are rookies or only playing in their second year. Just look at the stats when Russ is on the court vs when he's off. Or look at when he averages a triple double vs when he doesn't. He makes more of an impact vs any other candidate. And we're just gonna act like something that hasn't been done in yearssssss is overrated? Huhhhhhhhhhhh?????
