Yes he is rich enough to play at pretending to farm as he says. We, the ordinary people don't "exploit" our farm animals, we EAT them and their products without which we would starve. Millenia ago we used to have to chase them down until there were no more left and THEN we would starve. We are a bit more sophisticated now...Well some of us are. He is a very funny man but also as wacky as can be, he is a comedian not a philosopher, he is also an Elite, a celebrity among other celebrities so the real world prolly hardly registers. Why such people write books telling us, the ordinary people, how to think about life and the system most of us are quite happy to be in, escapes me. Even a lunatic talks SOME sense SOME of the time like a broken clock is correct twice a day. I haven't read his book but if we don't know by now how corrupt our politicians and their crony corporations are then we are living in an asylum being run by the lunatics. He was absolutely amazing during this whole interview. He had absolutely nothing but lovely things to say about his ex-wife. Why she kept bringing her up, I don’t know..that was a whole lifetime ago. They are both completely different people now. She kept trying to get him to turn into that flirty overly sexual person he used to exhume as part of his whole character..that just isn’t him anymore. He seems to have fully embraced marriage and fatherhood, it only seems natural that that would happen, to evolve to something more than one night stands and an excessive life style on every front. He has changed. I would sincerely hope that after 5+ years, we have all changed & evolved into something MORE. You should check out his posts now, he seems like a different person who has started finding true answers to why we all tick.

Not really, because most genuinely broken people do NOT succeed, but it is true that there is hope for those who help themselves. Most people can "fix" themselves. He seems to have stopped doing self destructive behaviours, and having a life style that has hurt many but his difficult mental state is never going away and I wish him luck because he is very funny and that is a genuine thing. Russell Brand is bloody brilliant and hilariously.

I love Russell Brand, he's so very smart and sensitive. I know he seems very busy, always "on" but behind closed doors I believe he's a bit more reserved and quiet.

Liza Chan ...I have never been heavily involved with an addict...if they refuse YOUR help then that's for them to do. Leave them be, they are adults and free to choose. Don't ever give them money and remember they do steal so you can't pretend that they are friends and invite them into your family home, commonsense, the safety of your family comes first. There are loads of programmes, paid for by you the poor put-upon tax payers so don't dabble in amateur psychology, that can be dangerous for you and your family. I have been around mentally sick people, and there are many neglected mentally ill people who personally choose to live on the streets along with addicts, you need to get professional help with that problem too because it can be a dangerous situation for you and your family once again. The best way to help people is first with your own children, help them to understand the huge problem we have been encouraged to accept as almost normal. It isn't. Do NOT take drugs that will cause addiction. Follow the doctors advice if you really have to have treatment for severe pain and don't continue taking pain tablets when you are over your problem. That is a regular story you hear and everyone blames doctors but I blame the drug takers...it's their choice and their problem but now we are all having to pay for their twisted lives. Not good, we have better things to do with our money but the government keeps stealing from us by force and giving it to people who indulge only themselves and their habits. .

@@ladybug591 the government takes money from big pharma to outlaw non adictive drugs that serve the sane purpose as opioids. Doctors also get paid by big pharma for prescribing their drugs. Its a known issue.... The put upon taxpayers will have many more problems if this crisis isint controlled. Similar to the crack epidemic in its peak... Not that it has slowed down. Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture.

Love this guy.. Quite impressed at 9:05-9:15. Truer words have never been spoken. Thanks for exposing yourself in such a way that your example can be viewed as genuine and sincere. I find him funny, entertaining, and highly intelligent.

Liz yea but he's still eating animal products. He used to be completely vegan but he said it's "hard". If a billionaire still thinks veganism is hard then they should get therapy.

This interview was genius... Russell kinda overwhelmed Wendy but it was perfect!

He’s so smart and his wit is so quick! That kind of intellect is hot as hell... but he would be so hard to live with!

Wendy: Did you look?! Russel: I was front line and center. I was ringside, and I used that word deliberately.

Russel Brand has such an amazing brain. I knew of Russel Brand but like since yesterday I somehow stumbled onto a number of videos of him and my opinion went from player to understanding just how much of a genius he is (well maybe not even fully understanding because he's way smarter then me). And how sensitive of a guy he is to everything that is wrong with society. He's a fascinating man.

English humour at its best . Enjoyed the interview . Refreshing to have someone intelligent on there .

I like the bit he said when describing his book though, real food for thought. His personality and past are huge, but it seems he's really on a path for the better.

There’s not many people who are awake to all of mankind’s tragedy who can still see the world with childlike wonder. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Still my favorite interview on this show.Russell is one of a kind.

how? like how did Wendy just completely disregard that intriguing heartfelt moment when he opened up and talk about Amy. it was succinctly devastating! I wanted to hug him....yet she just didn't even try to connect with him.

Wow, I had no idea he was such a charismatic, empathetic, and honest person. I didn't know much about him at all before this. I see why is trending. To me, he's an example of when you learn to truly love and accept yourself, you learn how to truly love and accept others. Self-reflect and recognize one's own issues and work on them in one's self, will lead to accepting other people for who they are with no judgments and if they need help be there for them. He just seems like a person, who's been to hell and back... and came out better and more aware of societal problems on a different level than most. More accepting than most, because he's learned to love himself. That's not an easy task... Much respect and I'm getting the book.

He was so lost on this audience 😂 such a shame, he's a genius 😂

Russell is such a character and is actually very honest. I really hope that he can prove his innocence against all the wild allegations that took place at a time when, although RB was very successful but was at that time into a lot of bad stuff, drugs etc.

Hands down one of the BEST interviews/guest Wendy has had! He’s so batty lol. But WOKE to what’s going on in the well. I loved everything about him, and this interview. He’s GOAT

Truly! I would be so insulted if someone 'interviewed' me on a meaningless daytime talkshow and asked me about the loss of a good friend and "was there anything I could have done about it". F*ck! Have we no decency? Have we no empathy? It's a 5 second question requiring a 10 second (pithy) answer. That's the game and that's the business. I would have been tempted to say f*ck off and left. Check out how Nick Cave has mellowed with age and experience over the nonsense of mainstream press. Life is full of terrible hurt; life is suffering. What have you learned?

Fran MJ He isn’t more educated than Jim Carrey, Jim is also well spoken albeit doesn’t have english accent and is awake as Russel is. So I’d say they’re on the same level.

This is not at all his type of show nor audience, they're dim as hell and he's so bright and enlightened.

Stevie....He puts himself out there...he is a Celebrity, a calculated PRODUCT and that is what it is all about. It's a sort of femaley gossipy b.s. situation where he mixes with all these kind of weird people and is kind of weird himself but funny, which is a nice change from the others...and he makes lots and lots of money from it all.
