Everything is true what he says. Cuz record labels won't sign you unless you got a fan base and you're selling tickets. You got to build a fan base all by yourself, and you got to sell tickets all by yourself in order for a label to even look at you. So if you have to do that all by yourself...why do you even need a record label for?... Ask yourself that. If you're already making money and building a fan base, you don't need a record label. They're just gona feed of what you're already making. Taking a cut from it. If you gotta build from scratch, why don't u just keep goin without a label? And sometimes they just sign u so they can throw you on the shelf to make another rapper shine. And btw, if you didn't know...that money they give u when u sign that contract with them (record label)...you have to pay it back within a year or two cuz it's just a loan, it's Not free. Just because u sign to a label it doesn't make u rich. It makes u money, yea.. but it's loan that u gotta pay back to the label. That's why rappers don't last long in the music business. Cuz they in it for the quick money, not the Long haul career that makes them successful. If you ever sign to a record label, just use them for promo help. Don't let them use you. Don't give them full rights to ur music, because you won't be able to have any control over anything. U can't collab with any other artist that they don't agree on, you can release music unless they approve it. You cant do shit without them having a saying in it. Do your research, not everything that shines is gold/diamonds. Its just business to them. And the industry hates Russ cuz of it. He exposed them. Why do you think they don't have him playing over the radio? Why don't you think any industry signed artists (like Drake) haven't made a song with him yet? Cuz the record label isn't gonna support anybody like him.

Notice Me senpai yeah the chorus sounds like something off an Em song (like delivery wise) but I can't put my finger on it, But it's such a masterpiece nonetheless.👍🔥

As much as i love the way russ throws his vibe around, i dont think he is gonna stay for another decade, its one of the rarest things for rappers to stay for a decade, only some can master it

Cod Nam how am I a dick rider? Pnb rock is average at best with hooks. This song has an amazing hook, the hook sounds like something out of the mid 2000's. Cmon now, you cant deny the fact that Russ is amazing with hooks

J- RED it's your opinion, but I'm not saying he has a bad hook...never heard of this guy, and I wound up listening to about 5 of his biggest songs as far as KZread popularity, but it's just not any kind of spark that most hip hop artist have. so if your asking, I do have a problem with his cookie cutter hooks bro. if your a fan of hip hop then you understand a hook is different than a verse, he killed his little 15 min VEVO(cause he did it all on his own, and VEVO aperently isn't a corporate sponsors), so let's give him credit for not using sound cloud for 6 years like a dumb ass.
