Ended up here in May of 2023 after stumbeling over a Russ track that had such a smooth flow and lyrics that suited my state of grieving loss. And just clicked on the next and the next. Ain’t mad that it gave me some time of distraction while listening. Music can really help. So, thank you.

I'm sure out of 7 billion people on Earth a few million know of him, but he seems to be in that place between underground and mainstream. Like he's about to break through

transcendentmuzic not really dude. he's played at every highschool and uni party in my city. he's been also doing shows of 2,000 to 5,000 across the US and big canadian cities. also has already toured over seas. the industry hasn't co signed him no, but if you understood the music industry in 2016 you would know that the majority of artists now a days are independents, living off of a medium fan base; touring, selling merch and masking music for their smaller but dedicated fan bases. listeners/fans are now more dedicated to searching within the genres they like specifically and finding artists within their specific taste in music to support and push. the big names are now just people who get pushed by the industry and are so ubiquitous, it's hard not to listen to them. I doubt you could avoid hearing a song off of Starboy or a track from Drake as a avid listener of music. but the trend of more focussed listeners, that know what they want is inarguable once you look at the upbringing of lo fi rap, xxxtenaction and other sub genres that have become big over the past few years, only comprised of a group of smaller artists leading that genre.
