Rushdie debated interviewing his attacker
Salman Rushdie wondered if he should interview his attacker.
The prolific author, who was the victim of a stabbing that nearly killed him in 2022, told NPR, “There was a bit of me that wanted to go and ask this man in jail: why’d you do it?”
Rushdie ultimately decided against it. “I’m gonna get either banality, or some kind of clichéd hostility,” he said. “And I thought, then what might be better for me to do, for me, is to use my own gift which is imagination, to try and imagine myself into his head and try and see what he might’ve been up to.”
In his new memoir, “Knife,” Rushdie writes about the attack.

This clown is to funny
Glad to see a great man recovered from a horrific attack. All the best Salman I hope your life continues to be long.
Do you think you could drum if your hair was tied in a ponytail?
His imagination is blocked if he can't figure out why he was stabbed?. The dude has been hiding half of his life , but still can't figure out why ?
Why not wear glasses that have both lenses shaded? They make them for indoor use.
😂😂😂 are those new illuminati glasses? 😂😂😂Thanks for sharing

Huh? He's blind in that eye. It's an alternative to an eyepatch.
