@@XROBX4X thanks a lot!!!
I would turn down the distortion a little. Geddys bass was never this distorted. Good playing but the bass sound is a little rough. Have you checked your input levels using a VU meter? It sounds like its clipping an awful lot. Bass is recording too hot it sounds mixed with too much distortion.
Not bad… that bass line is very difficult. Keep practicing!
I haven’t listened to Analog Kid in years…THANK YOU for the reminder! It’s such a rocking song. Fast verses with quick runs and a driving rock beat, half-time chorus with thick synth pads and syncopated drums. It reminds me a lot of Superconductor, which has less fancy playing but does crazy things with the time signature. Both songs sound like straight-up rock tunes if you’re not paying attention, but if you are paying attention they blow your mind.
Geddy Lee is history's most talented musician-better than Eddie, better than Bach and Mozart. He took all of Neil's lyrics, wrote the music, all the sound effects, vocal melodies, complicated bass melodies, playing keyboards with his feet, plus all the sound effects.....
