I have dear friends in Russia who I talk to aevery day and I read the local news outlet in their medium sized city and I assure you that the Great Patriotic War is never forgotten. The children hear it in their classrooms that are visited by the aging heroes who remain and there are many events and celebrations throughout the year in addition to Victory Day that are celebrated by the entire community. Those of us in the West share a great debt to these people and need to rein in our imbecilic leaders who are projecting hatred and animoisity toward these brave people. Russians do not want to hurt you or control you country like the Americans do, but if you become their enemy, you will pay a steep price.

Does Russia appreciate the help that the Western powers gave to them in WW2? You know, opening up fronts in North Africa, Italy, France? Sabotage over all occupied Europe? Keeping the Japanese at bay in the Pacific( Russia was shitting themselves thinking that Japan would enter from Manchuria)? Do they recognize that? Please show me where there is a a single statue erected in Russia in honor of the brave men of the supply convoys over land and sea, many of whom died getting their much needed supplies to the Soviet Union. There isn't ONE. Shame on Russia for her ingratitude for that. Shame on Russia for her total and complete ingratitude for the intelligence that the Allies were passing to her, manly from Ultra. Do the ageing people remember that dyugashvili was actually an ally of hitler until Barbarossa in June 1944? Just do not even try to threaten NATO, ok? I'm sitting watching this in my apartment in Krasnagorsk, Moscow. My Russian wife lost a grandfather, great grandfather and 7 other family members during WW2. As she says to me , theirs was the victory. They want that buffer zone between East and West. Russians are tired of this war, they don't want war but they do feel they are fighting for their very survival against the West who want their resources. 27 million is a lot of people to loose in comparison with the numbers we lost in Britain and the 350,000 the Americans lost in that war. I must remember that it was John Wayne and the Americans that freed us of the Nazis tyranny and not the Soviet Union.

Not according to the NATO website - On 9 February 1994, the North Atlantic Council, at the request of the UN Secretary General, authorized CINCSOUTH to launch air strikes, at the request of the UN, against artillery and mortar positions in or around Sarajevo which were determined by UNPROFOR to be responsible for attacks against civilian targets in that city. The NATO Council also decided that all heavy weapons had to be withdrawn from a 20-kilometre exclusion zone around Sarajevo or placed under UNPROFOR control within 10 days. Heavy weapons of any of the Parties found within the exclusion zone, unless under UNPROFOR control, would be subject to air strikes after expiration of the 10-day period, in close coordination with the UN and in accordance with the Council decisions of 2 and 9 August 1993.

The scenes were heartbreaking, and she couldn't do anything as a young girl. Those memories remained with her throughout her life. To Russia with love ❤

No, the figure of 26,6 million is final and accepted as such by the Russian historical community. This roughly includes: - military casualties of 15 million people (including pows that were exterminared in death camps at 3 million people); - civillian casualties on occupied territories at 7,6 million people (who died of hunger, disease and direct extermination by nazis - mostly in Ukraine, Belarus and Lenigrad during the siege); - casualties deep inside the USSR caused by hunger, disease, etc. during the war at 4 million people.

One can imagine the Russian public’s horror at such a disclosure. Mr. Putin shut down the NKVD archives as a result. Col. Douglas Macgregor, in his book Margin of Victory, touches on this subject to slight degree. In fact, he mentions a Russian Colonel General (with access to the NKVD files) who told him that the true figure is more than 39 million total-and counting.

The most outstanding takeaway in Alexander's latest program, in my view, is the articles he cites stating that the tyrannically brutal US exceptionalism and the global colonial despotism of the US-EU is effectively dead, regardless of the results in the US and EU elections later this year. What now remains is a crippling dissonance in the USA and Europe fed by a realization that the USA and EU countries are founded upon the rapacious exploitation and pillage of the rest of humanity without which they will effectively cease to exist in another generation or so. Humanity will be the better for it.

The Russian onslaught on Ukraine has just begun. While 17,000 casualties a week seems high, there is still room to increase it. In WW2 there were days with such numbers of casualties. The overall shape of the AFU is not good. And very comparable to the state of the Wehrmacht in late 1944. Huge front line collapses did not happend, but this is just because Russia is not aiming for that, yet. But when they aim for it, it will increase the number of Ukrainian casualties even further. Btw the use of teargas might be attributed to Police units serving at the Ukrainian front. Wich is just another sign of the overall deterioration of the AFU. Just like the use of territorial defense units at the front line.

He knew, just like every Soviet citizen, that the survival of all the peoples of the USSR was at stake. Europeans weren't trying to win the war, conquer us, they were trying to wipe us off the face of the earth entirely, for good. They tried to burn my grandmother alive with all her family. Complete strategic folly has been no obstacle to the West before!😀 If they consulted the experts, they would understand the need to surrender to/compromise with Putin ... No wonder after losing so many Russian troops and liberating so many ethnic Russians. Russia refuses to hand the Donbas back to Ukraine. Russia's "Istanbul Plus."

There was a terror attack today in Dagestan, which is north of Azerbaijan on the shore of the Caspian Sea. The attackers targeted two Orthodox churches and a synagogue. At least six police officers and one priest are dead. The attacks occurred in the coastal town of Derbent, which is just north of the border with Azerbaijan,& in the capital of Makhachkala. There were also unconfirmed reports of attacks in the town of Izberbash. RU National Guard units were called out to put down the attacks.

The gruesome US missile attack yesterday on the beach at Sevastopol, filled with families enjoying summer holidays, with scores of civilian deaths and hundreds of injuries, is the US bringing Gaza to Russia. It was targeted by US drones over the Black Sea, so there is no doubt they knew who they were killing. Not enough is being said about this atrocity. Russian air defence is its weakness.

Source ?? Evidence ?? ATACMS missiles are designed to be used by ordinary American artillery soldiers. They are shot from the wheeled HIMARS vehicles & the tracked M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) that Ukraine has been using at the front for the last almost two years on almost a daily basis for precision strikes. You don't have to be a "rocket scientist" to use such weapons....

In Vovchansk, I think the Russians laid a trap that the Ukrainian walked into. Given how many troops the Russians have in that region and more outside the region that could be deployed into Vovchansk, it is hard to imagine that they don't have enough troops to close the pocket north of the Vovchansk river, yet that pocket was held open for weeks. Why would the Ukrainians go for such a bad deal? For Ukraine, war is more about getting the West to support them as it was about defending the Russians. They need an attack before the NATO summit and Vovchansk seem the best candidate.

Fourth FAB 3000 Video A video of the effect of the fourth FAB 3000 hit is available. It appears that Russia targets these bombs to an area between several buildings. In the latest case, the FAB 3000 landed between several structures and effectively destroyed all of them. Smaller buildings were flattened, larger buildings were riddled by shrapnel. Trees were completely stripped of their foliage at a considerable distance. The FAB 3000 is likely set, using a proximity fuse, such that the bomb goes off a few feet above the ground. This means that a large part of the energy of the FAB 3000 is not wasted in digging a useless hole. It is likely that the area that is affected by shrapnel is much larger than is reflected in a drone video.
