@@JamesDunne IMHO dude on the video overweight (too heavy) like 10 lbs at least, more likely 15-20, that weights on speed obviously.. Like big cargo horse trying to win that sprint, while technique is ok..

To be honest, I thought his running form looked really good, but it’s really insightful what you managed to identify. I also wonder if he is clenching his fists too much, and if that is causing stiffness in his running?

It seems like the forefoot strike is a tad bit forced with a strong plantar flexion and a tiny overstride. I would relax the foot a bit and let it fall down mostly naturally. Otherwise looks great 👍

#Sir I want to run sub 22 minutes 5k for military recruitment.. My current time is barely 23.30seconds I've tried long run for more than 3months continuously.. Little bit of speed workout.. In between long runs.. Not improving at all.. 😢 In my 3rd mile I get fatigue, out of breathe and it feels like walking at the end of the race.. 😢

Sounds like you need more speed work to get comfortable at the goal pace and getting specific in the long run and not just doing long slow distance

I wonder if that is his natural running form… I might be wrong, but looks like he is over thinking his running form while recording. Especially the way he hits the ground with his forefoot looks unnatural.

That’s just how forefoot strikers are. It does look unnatural but that’s the nature of the different strikes
