Chorus:
Pause, pause for the cause, get yours
But don't break laws
Quit, quit it, forget it
Pause, say your way with it
Pause, if you did it, admit it
Cause, you shouldn'ta did it
Next time, you think of doin a crime
Pause, and remember this rhyme
#RunDMC #Pause #BackFromHell

This song was still the JAM ............they did this in response to the most popular acts in 1990 ( the new jack swing and the popular dancing ) Kid N Play, Salt N Pepa, Mc Hammer, etc, etc

Ehhhh Idk about that. They tried to throw too much into it. This single has a positive message to the community and I can respect that, but then they kinda undercut it by introducing "The slammin new dance the Pause". Yeah they were definitely doin the most to try to distance themselves from their OG Hip Hop roots that made them in the first place

Ikr. I was sick when I read the motive & that Jay was out there tryin to be a damn drug kingpin. He didn't deserve to die but that really hurt to see someone who was always so positive throughout the entire history of hip hop mixed in the drug game that deep. Like the old sayin goes, "You really don't know any of these celebrities at all"
