Frustrating as it is to be apart, this pause is like unintentional good therapy. No hidden agendas or repressing their shadows but acknowledging them, integrating them like grown folks. So healthy, using their prep time wisely. I LOVE them together. 😘

I wish he had never listened to her. He ran, and not only was he losing, but he only won after his son was killed. That was the worst episode to watch in the whole series.

Here's the thing Olivia is telling Fitz to run and win but he's not. He wasn't gonna win the first time around. What makes her think he will win the second time around? He's still in a dead marriage that's not gonna change and even if Olivia decides to stand with Fitz as his first lady it's not a guarantee that he will win either because alot of people aren't receptive to interracial first families especially when the president is white and the first lady is black. Without the rigging of the election Fitz didn't stand a chance at being president and thanks to the Amanda Tanner situation that really killed his chances even though he didn't kill her but he did sleep with her and so people automatically are gonna assume he is just another president that sleeps around.

As much as Olivia is being supportive here, there’s still the slight manipulative edge to the fact that her sins/treason will always affect their relationship. She’s convinced that he “likes” his job more than his desire to be with her, and I’m not sure I believe that. But it makes sense 🤷🏾♀️

There are NO GUARANTEES in life you just have to go ahead and do your thing your way. “People” aren’t living your life, YOU ARE and they will accept Black First Lady if YOU DO. Example my first husband was blond, his parents said, “u sure this is what you want?” He said “every relationship gonna have some kinda hurdle, this will be ours.” Nine years I wouldn’t take back cuz I grew and he grew…I can see it now, cover of a magazine Fitz and Liv smiling ear to ear, caption reads: “She’s My Truth!” Once folk pick their jaws off the ground 😝 the support will roll in (especially from other Black women). 🎶Haters gonna hate but I’m just gonna shake shake shake it off🎶 Cuz of the happiness and love and bliss and freedom!
