Technically after 1981 Ruf became it's own company and built it's own cars. They look like a Porsche but they are not a Porsche, They are a Ruf

The Porsche at 2:55 is extremely rare if it is indeed from the Factory as a 904-6 or 904-8 (Carrera GTS). Only about 150 were made, as was the regulation for teams to get into the FIA-GT Class. Although a lot of reproductions have been made, it is still extremely rare to come across an original. You can consider this really the first Porsche Super Car for customers. The Carrera GT's Great Grandfather of sorts.

Incredible video, but everything I was reading, the top speed of the yellowbird was 213, ruf claimed a 225 top speed but I couldn't find any proof. Needless to say, visiting the hq is not done by a lot of people.

That red ‘Porsche ‘GTS’ appears to be a 904 or 906. The few 908 have the 8 cylinder engines.

ive waited all day to watch this!! i search every platform daily for RUF content so when i saw this i about crapped my pants. i almost crap my pant anytime i see a ctr3 though. there is very little new RUF content on youtube so a sincere thank you. we msg'd on your first couple videos so im well aware that you are a knowledgable fan. sadly most young people think RUF came from the damn arcades.ive been following them since 1985. the first car they got in a magazine was a g body scrwhich 2 years before the Yellowbird. i also want to choke people that call any yellow RUF a yellowbird. i zapp outand explain that -the yellowbird is 1 car. the record breaking car, the ring video and playstation are all usingtheyellowbird but it was a single car the Aois and family still tear the fur off of today. any others are simply yellow ctr's. drivs me mental. sorry for blabbing i paused it to type this msg and i havent gotten to the RUF"s yet so uch thanks now piss off ...i need my RUF fix. kidding. cheers

@@Drivewithroy I imagine something like that would happen when you go there cuz they truly have broken ground that will never be broken again on enforcer will never ever give bodies and white to another company and say hey make our Porsche better. As well as the family are just as the greatest representatives of that brand I've never seen trade show or an event or a time when people have went to the factory and Mr and Mrs aren't there with and taking them around taking them for rides and you become a part of the family when you purchase one of their cars which is something extraordinary considering the family still puts their hands on each car. Alois has also graced us with so many of the tuners we consider O.G.'s, they all are previous ruf employees who have went on to create their own things but have never gotten close to rivaling Ruf. They are from everything I've seen and heard some of the most generous and humble people in the automotive world. Did you get to meet Alois and Estonia? They have a utterly stunning daughter whimo is making to Ruf name enter a bunch of different arenas, plus she rips these cars in cowboy boots. That wife material my friend. Cheers. Thanks again. God you just took me back in time lol

the fact that RUF has kept the original 5 gages on their dash & also kept the split rear lights..keeps the original 911 signature..todays 911 are huge & fat..too much 'stuff'..crowded rear end....looking like a Panamera almost...RUF is the keeper of what made this car ,the GOAT of sport cars...daily or track..with bullet proof motors and trans...!!..I own a stock 1988 /911 SC (bought new) over 300.000k and it is still pretty much my daily...i have better brakes ,suspension and tiny engine mods..like an air filter & lighter engine air-turbine for better cooling...owning a 2017 RUF yellow bird would be the dream for sure...'when my favorite Porsche is NOT a Porsche...!!

That Porsche is the 917 or the plastic Porsche they were an all fiberglass body. There was a guy who scaled them up a bit you could build them on a 914.
