She was of the greatest generation who always had respect. I’m a millennial and feel sad for the future.

I love her. Her smile, the way she speaks.. I love her answer to Larry, better late than never. Why do I find him rude.. Rue’s beautiful inside and out and I don’t say that a lot about a human being. She’s intelligent and very hardworking. I wish I had met her 💙

She does speak with a Southern accent it's just a very soft southern accent because Oklahoma accents are like that. Oklahomans speak as if they're a borderline southern and neutral American accent. Thus a very soft Oklahoma accent. The woman that speaks to her speaks with a more stereotypical Southern Okie accent but that Oklahoma accent isn't as common as it used to be. But notice Rue's Oklahoma accent gets stronger when she speaks to her fans. Overall Rue's is a softer southern accent.

@@cookiealexd123 I think it's the same for us here in America with English accents, because most of us can't tell the difference between the different types of English accents. I can easily, but I'm an actor so I pay attention a little more to the way people talk. Lol

Larry King sound so ill-informed here and I love that Rue corrects him every time he makes a statement that seems to undermine the show.

That’s So sweet when her old friends call her and her whole face lights up! Decades later, it’s cool that Everyone still loves The Golden Girls (and as a tangent, Angela Lansbury). Thanks for some very solid entertainment, girls!

My *FAVORITE* show!! Watched it with my Grandma every week. Now, I've got *ALL* 7 seasons on DVD & my girls & I watch them together. We also watch them *EVERY NIGHT* on the Hallmark channel while falling asleep. Sundays, it's playing on TV Land from 6:50a.m.-5:00p.m. The girls & I will eat *cheesecake & play our Golden Girls Trivia game,* before playing anything else!! We'll spend the *ENTIRE* day just being together, doing *WHATEVER* we want to do!! But, there *ALWAYS* has to be a cheesecake involved!! I'm going back to watching *The Golden Girls* again. It's the episode where Mr. Gordon comes to visit Dorothy, Rose gets a new job as assistant producer at the news station. Season 7 Ep.15. Keep watching *The Golden Girls* & enjoy *ALL* of the laughs they are going to bring your way!! Have a slice of cheesecake, too!!

She said something so true that holds up in 2022 as it did in 1988--writing is EVERYTHING. That is why quality today imo has dropped so low from where it was on Golden Girls. I don’t care what your technology looks like, with great art it all comes from the written page and from that fabulous writing team. Without that, you have a piece of dreck
