Estelle was the youngest of the cast and Betty was the oldest of the cast. But the played opposite.

@@andreaplummer3841 Rue was actually the youngest. She was born in 1934. Betty and Bea were born in 1922, and Estelle was born in 1923.

Estelle immediately shifted in to Sophia when she saw "Ms Betty White"

I think, after a while, an actor's normal accent starts being affected by using the fake accent. Of course, I haven't seen many clips that show otherwise.

In 1988 Bea made a movie called My First Love. She wore most if not all of the clothes in that movie from The Golden Girls. Just some TV Trivia. Also, it's such a cute movie!

@@shihalya Only Rue. When she made her contract out she said whatever she wore on set, she wanted to take it home... Obviously they agreed. Alot of it went up for auction after she died.

These ladies have me years of entertainment pleasure. Brilliant shows in every way.

Me, my sister and two friends used to pretend to be these ladies while watching Golden Girls. I could watch this show anytime of day. It was one of my favorite shows.

The Earth Day promo was clearly done after they completed filming of the Season 5 episode "All Bets Are Off." All of them are wearing the same clothing as they do at the ending of that episode.

i think it feels forced because it's a damn PSA - those never feel natural - even with these fantastic actors also, rose sounds too informed - it's not normal for her character

I think Bea dressed like that anyway but yeah Dorothy does dress like this as well.. Bea was a very tall woman and maybe felt self conscious in tighter clothes.

Whatever happened to Comic Relief (USA version)?

I wish the DVD’s of the series didn’t have the laugh track/audience like the Earth Day Special. It was so much funnier to laugh at the jokes organically, like in The Office.

In an interview she stated that Sophia is left at the stage door and I guess since she is doing something other than the show this is Estelle. Crazy to think she was younger than bea and betty
