Ruby Mountain, located in the center of the North Cascades, is a gem. The stunning 360-degree panoramic view from the summit will take your breath away. In this video, we take the NW Ridge route on a sunny April day. There is a good trail to Happy Creek Falls, but from there on, it becomes a grueling scramble/snow climb as you ascend a vertical mile to the lofty summit. A stable snowpack is required, as there are steep sections flanked by towering rock cliffs. Overall, this destination is truly a Pacific Northwest classic that will leave you with cherished memories forever.
