Rubio Monocoat Finish Sample - Stain and Seal in 1 Coat

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video we show you how we put together a finish sample for a client of ours. We layed out 10 different options of Rubio Monocoat finishes. As you can see, Rubio Monocoat stains and seals in only one coat. We sanded up to 180 grit, water popped the board, and sanded again lightly. We then taped off each section, and simply rubbed in the finish. We waited for about 5 minutes, then wiped off the excess and buffed it out. And that's it! The woods shown are Ash, Walnut, and Juniper.
Rubio Monocoat Colors that we used:
- Dark Oak
- Charcoal
- Ash Grey
- Chocolate
- Walnut
- Black
- Antique Brown
- Biscuit
- Castle Brown
- Oak

Knowing what color you used on each section would be helpful. You spent a lot of time doing this video, which is appreciated, however it doesn't help the viewer when we don't know which finish matches up with what color.

@Hazel Oak Farms can I use 600 grits or 1000 grits sanding paper for best result? Or I can’t use above the 180 grits so why? I don’t know so could you help me ? Also could you suggest some colors for pine table top. Which colors are good on pine wood ?

@@selcuk6264 Rubio Monocoat binds to the wood grain on a molecular level. If you take it passed 150 to 180, it seals the grain and the oil cant penetrate as well as it should

You didn’t really show the names of the stains on the board, just a quick flash, it would have been better to spend more time showing the differences on the board and name of stain, less on process.
