They are different challenges. Jperm uses normal scramble but z3 doesnt scramble the side which is locked

I managed to notice a few things: 1 side: trivial case 2 sides: opposites (RL) is a trivial case adjacents (RU), you'll never have CPLL. You can get away with just the RU U-perms 3 sides: RUL is really similar to RU, so pretty easy. But also you need different algs for PLL so I used an RUL J-perm RUD: Used RUD T-perm. Technically similar to RUL if you allow cube rotations but when solving cross on D, this is different. Some algs work at this point RUF: You need different blockbuildings to get F2L down. Don't start with cross, start with the FL edge. Most algs work at this point 4 sides: RULD: All edges are oriented so proceed as some modified version of ZZ RULF: F face is the only way to fix orientations, so solve B edges first 5 sides: No D: easy, just be cautious of algs to use NO B: do EO first, then proceed with RULD NO U: use S moves to get away with F2L, then use modified OLL and PLL algs: OLL, do corners first before edges Fat (anti)(back)Sune in place of (anti)(back)Sune To flip 2 adjacent edges (UF and UL): Fat sune y' Fat Backsune To flip 2 opposite edges (UL and UR): r U2 r' F R' F' R U' R U' r' y Fat Antibacksune PLL, use A perms and MU U perms Bonus content: It's possible to solve the entire cube using only U, E, and x You can use combination of U, E, and x to make y You can use combination of x and y to make z You can use combination of U and xyz to make UDLRFB

Are you a rubix cube researcher?

Bandage mods are a delight. I highly recommend the DIY bandage cube kit from cubetwist for all your not-putting-tape on your cube needs.

You should a cube the worst again. There's a lot you haven't really done with it. Some ideas I had: Imperfect magnet locations Varying spring strength Varying screw size Glue 2 random things together. Use stickers with different shades.

Could you do an experiment where you put in every magnetisation in a speedcube ever? That means: Corner Edge Magnets (48) The crazy 6 ring Maglev (from the moretry Tianma) (36) 20 Magnet Ball Core (40) Edge Feet, Corner Feet Magnets (48) (also from the Moretry Tianma) Center Edge Magnets from the Valk 3 (48) I would love to see how a cube with over 200 Magnets turns!

I did this for an April Fools day joke once, but I didn't actually make the cubes. I just wanted to get J-Perm Mad. Introducing the all new MoYu YJ Weilong GTS W RM v9 2024 v2. With 31 different versions. Each version was a different combination of the magnets(I hope I calculated the combinations right). I also made the names of them very weird and annoying, with it all being google translated to Chinese so that I could say "The Chinese has some mistakes so... Hope you can read english!"

He would need to start with the fully upgraded MoreTry Tianma, maybe the ShengShou YuFeng v1/v2, but it could be possible, especially considering the kinds of things Alex does to his cubes, he could probably do it.

It's good that you know enough tricks to solve a cube with only 3 sides turntable because that I think would be the hardest one

I did that once, but i had help from a friend. It was still fun though.

great video concept, we all tried some restricted cubes but this is a nice complete overview. Also like how you added some cube theory for new cubers, like orientation. Keep it up!

I like this video because of how he also tests what happens with different combinations of restrictions

Kind of a "reverse bandaging" type of technique in the beginning. But once you start bandaging before the scramble, it basically becomes a "bandaged cube" type of situation. still slightly interesting.

'im too lazy to do that" at 8:40, from a man who posted "i turned a 2x2 into a 3x3" and "making a 3x3 have 5 different solutions" which both required skill and patience.. alot of it

Very cool! I also made some of these challenges, for example only R,U moves (this is your case of four layers blocked), only middle moves, only double moves (that one was really interesting, since you have to come up with algorithms of, say, the H-perm which only has double moves). It's a really fun challenge and no new puzzle is required. At the same time (and you have mentioned this with the Siamese cube) this is also beneficial for solving other puzzles. Having a T-Perm at your disposal which has only R2 moves makes it possible to apply this one also to cuboids. I will definitely try out the challenges from your video as well. 👍

you can save the hassle of putting pairs into other slots when 3 sides are bandaged by doing variations of R2' F R F' R at different angles

Hello z3cubing! I got a flagship tornado v3 m and the core rod got out. And everytime I try to put it in it gets super loose. And once I get the core rod inside and all the peice in. And when i move the cube the fast i can the core rod and the peuces fly away! Im so frustrated and confused if its broken or if this is normal. And even if i put the rod tight it still those the same thing. So please make a video about it please.
