The exhaust were flame dampers, the older type were too visable at Night🔥

To go along with that, there's that little thing about the fact that every time it was started it shot shafts of flames 3 - 6 feet in the air !!!!!! Saw it in a photo once too. That's the reason commonly given in the past about it. However, it doesn't take much imagination to see how that would not be a good thing at night !!! I know that it certainly had an effect on anybody who was around day and night !!! Such things are well known for drawing enamany's artillery fire very quickly !!!

I wish rubicon would do more internal details like they did with the tiger 2 so cool to at a match lift the top section of and see the amasement on your opponent's face

that is really really cool!!! i already have a lot of panthers though.... well, as we say in dutch ''het meer is nooit vol' meaning ''the lake is never completely filled'' So, more panther(s) for me :D BTW, the exhausts should be open on the underside.. ''the bit with the fan'' is a shroud, that was hollow on the real tanks, the exhaust pipe itself goes through it.

About the same as warlord. Around £20-25 each.

@andy morris thankfully I'm confirming they are perfectly affordable... Hence why I've got about 50 Rubicon kits...

@andy morris... And what wargaming can you do with a 1/35th tank kit?... And that's a flawed logic as not all 35th tank kits are a couple quid more than their 56th counterparts. If I buy a 56th king tiger for £20 a 35th scale is £35-60+ depending on manufacturer. But that's a moot point as this is a wargaming kit and wargaming scale.

@andy morris precisely. Though I guarantee the latest Rubicon King Tiger puts many airfix and revell to shame... In fact from my experience they'd crush airfix, revell and Italeri... Completely crush them

@andy morris which is all fine... But if I wanted a 1/56th Tiger for my Empress Miniatures Germans. An airfix 1/72nd kit isn't going to help... And shockingly it's actually harder for me to buy model kits than wargaming kits. Which is a hugely important factor for me

Interesting and rather odd that they instruct you to attach the wheels to the hull and then attach the tracks to the wheels, that's the opposite of how they do it on most of their other kits, I guess they don't have a lot of contact with the track set.

I think it's done that way to make lining up the wheels and the axle parts easier. I remember their Tiger being done in a similar way.
