Chris Patten, The Rt Hon. the Lord Patten of Barnes, is Chancellor of Oxford University. When MP for Bath (1979-92) he served as Minister for Overseas Development, Secretary of State for the Environment and Chairman of the Conservative Party. He was Governor of Hong Kong from 1992 until 1997, Chairman of the Independent Commission on Policing after the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 and European Commissioner for External Relations from 1999 until 2004. The Observer has described him as 'the best Tory Prime Minister we never had'.

I do respect Patten's efforts to speak out for the people of Hong Kong. I have watched many of his videos, and I can tell that he has become significantly more gloomy over the years since what happened in Hong Kong in 2019
After Sandi Arabia 、Russia、backward countries and the thrid countries agree to trade their own currencies with China yuan. Arabs in the Middle East receive RMB and go to Shanghai Special Trading Zone to buy gold back to Sandi Anabia. Backward countries such as Russia、Brazil and the third world countries receive RMB and exchange it for U.S. dollors in Hong Kong. Hong Kong has already converted one - third of U.S. dollar reserves into RMB, and Hong Kong MPF fund companies can invest in China. In 2022, Hong Kong's fiscal deficit reach HK $ 400 billion. How can Hong Kong get so many U.S. dollars to exchange for RMB ? London The exchange also converts RMB and UK keeps printing money to cope with China's unlimited printing of RMB exchange ? How about the inflation ? If UK cancel the RMB transaction, it will be dishonest in the trade, dishonest in the world ! Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt are former chancellors of the Exchequer, now you should understand why Britain is declining so fast ! Refugees and local spies kill Britain in thirteen years !! If Scotland and North Ireland do not want to die, independence is the way !!

What a load of rubbish. Firstly the U.K. is not declining fast, have to been there? As for HK, you do realise HK is pegged to the U.S dollar right?

@@boobopishI'm absolutely agreed with yours point of views. Otherwise, why China still need HK as a center for capitalizing as well as financing her funds for state owned enterprises , since RMB is still a soft currency!
