I recommend you to back track & install the rubber seal that is on the OEM gas cap seal I have installed this myself most other videos leave out the rubber seal good thing you realized which is very important without it there is a slight space between the cap itself allowing air debris & water in the order in which to install it plastic OEM base first then put the OEM rubber seal on top of the walls of the plastic base it’s perfect size then install the gas cap & as you tighten the gas cap down it will press into the seal creating the perfect seal I see that you tried to insert it from the top I’m not sure if you went back & put it underneath I would definitely recommend it Keep it up !

Haha good eye man! I actually did. I edit it out though. I had to remove the gas cap completely, insert the rubber seal, and re insert the gas cap. While tightening down the gas cap the rubber seal would move a little out of place. But I kept it in place on the last ratcheting turns and the cap pressed it in place. It’s not going anywhere.

@@ALFAVITAGA Only the brake one is adjustable, I have ordered them because they look great, in addition to those from other brands I have seen many complaints that they clash with the fairing ✌️

I’m 100% with you. I’ve been wanting to change the front wheel to black since day one. But the black wheel is out of stock for over 6 months now. I’m just trying to avoid painting it, but if the black wheel remains out of stock I might just paint it.

Thank you man! I’m planning to install the Spider rear sets first, and once I install them I think I want to change to GP Shift. If I do I will make a video doing it. Just remember that if I do change to GP shift I will do it using my Upmap. This will apply only to RS660’s equipped with an Upmap. For the ones that don’t have an Upmap, the shifter flip will be the same, but the update to the ECU will have to be done at their dealer.

Great video, Mike! Can’t help but notice that you don’t place the screw that you removed from the inside back, is that right?

Yes, it’s the same for both the RS660 and the Tuono 660.

What brake guards are those? I have those same bars with the 16mm inner diameter thread and can’t find any that thread in. Do these thread in or?

These do not tread in. You probably won’t find and guards that thread in these clip ons unless you find Bonamici guards. I just installed generic guards that expand in the clip on.

Trying to find aftermarket levers that DO NOT hit the fairing on full lock... do yours hit the fairing?

Im having difficulty installing brake and level guards. So fkn annoying I got the evotech version for both sides and thing inside the clip on doesn't come out even with a heat gun. the heat gun destroys the handle grip rubber. Wish you had a video on that install = )

When I first installed it and went for a ride without earplugs, my ears were ringing and it was unbearable to ride. I stopped at a shop and bought earplugs so I can continue riding. After a few rides I stopped wearing earplugs and it didn’t bother me anymore. No ringing. I either got used to it or I went deaf and I don’t know it lol. Bottom line is, I don’t use earplugs.

They fold during a crash instead of breaking and you can continue your race if the bike is still operational. If they do break, there is higher aftermarket availability compared to stock levers. Therefore you don’t need to wait months before the manufacturer supplies you with a stock replacement. They have the ability to connect to a remote lever adjustor, to compensate for braking fade. Some change their master cylinder that comes with aftermarket lever. For some it’s how the levers feel on your fingers while braking. Last, they look better in black, so better aesthetics. Non of these reasons are important reasons for a “normal” street rider. But all acceptable if they choose to change them. ✌️

It’s louder than it should be. It was too late to correct it as I had already uploaded it. I’m surprised it took 8 months for someone to comment this. That was all I was thinking about when I heard it on KZread and I thought the comments would be full of this. But as the channel grew, I learned more on editing plus I added a body mic for better voice recordings.
