It's so crazy how much the 360 ui changed over its life. I didn't get one as a kid until right before the metro update, but i remember playing 360s at friends and relatives houses over the years so the old ui is like some weird mystical thing that i really only got a peek at while they were still active.

I agree. I didn’t get my first Xbox 360 until 2013, it was shared between me and my brother, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to experience the blades dashboard. Now I do have memories at a friend’s house from before that. They had an Xbox 360 Elite with NXE that I remember fondly.

The only 360 UI that I never got to experience was blades. NXE, Kinect, and Metro are all what I remember the most

Thanks! Yeah, I’m not sure which one it is, but when I go through to replace the GPU and thermal paste, I’ll let you know which drive it is.

@@XboxConnoisseur994 Little fact, that weird buzz sound that occurs when you turn the console on, is actually an easy tell if you have a Samsung drive, since it only happens with that specific one!

@@XboxConnoisseur994 Try an Elpis GPU. Same GPU base as Opus (Rhea/B14L w/ fixed underfill) but specifically made for Xenon mobos.

This is an earlier version of blades with additional animations of the blades expanding partially, then completely the further you go into menus. They removed these animations in the 2.0.6683.0 patch in November 2007 for faster navigation. (They made it so the blades expand out completely as soon as you make a selection. Took away some of the charm honestly.) 5766 and earlier updates are even rarer than 6683 and 6717. Also, the manufacture date didn't show up that well. Can you reply the date?

You should get one, the Jaspers are the most reliable, but any Blades dash ones are great as collectibles.

I wanna collect old 360’s in the future but I sadly don’t have the finances to do that right now ;-;

If I was able to get one with the Xenon motherboard is it still worth it? I know they have a higher failure rate but these seem so rare now.

It depends on how much you pay. For a tested bundle with all cables, a controller, hard drive, and the console, don’t pay any more than $60.
