Thanks for the video.... this location is probably going to be our destination for my first trip to Cuba. I don't think the "phone in the bathroom" is a Cuba thing though.... I know two Hotels in Toronto that have that too. It makes perfect sense..... if you run out of toilet paper you can call room service or the front desk.... you don't even have to stand up.

Oh crap!

So we are planning to visit from the USA and I am finding we have to have one of 13 qualifying reasons to visit and seems like our schedule can't have any time of relaxation.... Any advise? Am I missing something? We want to go to the resort and vacay. Thx in advance.

thanks. Yeah, we saw the same thing too. A lot of reviews you can tell it was one thing that set them off and then decided the whole trip was ruined. "It took too long to be checked in" doesn't mean the whole trip was ruined lol.

Been there. It's a bit rundown and neglected and the food is truly awful. The beach however is amazing.

May is the worst time to book in Varadero ,and the phone in the bathroom is pretty normal in Cuba,i know it because i´m cuban hahaha

it is middle of September, a good time for holiday in Varadero? Also, could you suggest me some best beach resorts spots around havana, I want to book my first holiday to Cuba next month and I am looking for suggestions or reviews...

I don't understand why there are still sanctions on Cuba when most of the people who are alive now had nothing to do with the revolution. Very typical of a particular country. Innocent people are paying the price for all the politics. Why some people must oppress others and we will all leave mother earth one day. Cuba is my favourite playground. I will always go there. Thanks for your excellent video. The toilet phone is for an emergency.

It is probably better to change your CDN $ to CUCs. You can tip CDN bills if you really want to but no coin as it can’t be converted.

It's an adult's only resort. A few people in their mid 20's ( they seemed like they were on their honeymoons) for the most part it was a 30+ crowd. Lots of fun at the resort but definately not a party resort. Hope that helps. Thanks for checking out the video.

A dump you say, strange stayed here EIGHT times the past four years and going again this coming May, and never, never in my estimation a dump. Been travelling the world past 40 years I can assure Madam this 'baint be no Dump! Last Visit Oct'19

It used to be now not worth the money this is old video trust me very disappointing
