Royal Enfield Bullet 500 flying up Irish Hills - Lovely Exhaust Sound
Just a clip of flying up some Irish hills on my Royal Enfield Bullet . The exhaust note is really nice at parts too. It's a peashooter exhaust from Hitchcocks!
You might consider this being from a 'lost' episode this year 😅 I have a good few of them, but decided to share this cos it was just fun!

Sounds great, Graham! 😁
Really nice scenery there with only a small amount of traffic, very nice.
Very enjoyable jaunt!
I envy your quiet roads. Over here there'd be a succession of people pulling out of drive ways while looking left.

I'm very grateful it doesn't take too long to find quiet country roads in Ireland 😄
Great roads looks like you're enjoying them, looking forward to your next vid, thank you..
Lovely to see you and Daisy enjoying yourselves. After having the pleasure of following you around the south coast for a while I can say whole heartedly, she is a fine sounding machine. In fact, glorious 😍

YEAH! ....how kind of you to remember my bullet's name! These bikes have such character...they MUST have a name. No other motorcycle I've owned needed a name...they were just "the Harley" or "The Goldwing"....both are GONE and don't miss either one. Carry on, my brother from across the pond. I gotta get a pic of Oddball to you after I get the ammo can panniers mounted up. Lookin good!@@BulletWanderer
Excellent Brendan. If you get a clear day there’s a lovely road from Clogheen to Cappoquin with a magnificent view looking north across Co Tipperary from the viewpoint at The Vee hairpin on the R668. You probably know it.

I've driven that way before to see the Dromana Gate, but it might be worth covering it in a future video, thanks for the idea Gareth 😄 The Vee is just fantastic 👍
Daisy sounded lovely, some very familiar roads my friend.

It's been pretty horrid weather in Kilkenny since getting back from Kerry in the video above. But i'm sure there'll be nice cold, but sunny drives in the weeks ahead. Sláinte! 😁

@@BulletWanderer I love that kind of ride (in my brief riding history hehe)! Dry, crisp and sunny! (10c ish).
I hope the 500 returns to production for the sake of western world since in india it still makes very less economic sense to produce it for the very small market of 500cc

People in india will buy as many as 500 as they can even if its economy is worse cause they too love a big cc single re and is emotionally connected to it.
Beautiful Irish countryside, perfect daisy country, she seemed quite relaxed at those higher speeds, are you using higher gearing ? l went from 17 to and 18 teeth gearbox sprocket, dumped the original exhaust system and fitted a fuel X lite on my 500 bullet trials, transformed the bike, she now pulls life a steam train and sounds like one to....🙂

Standard gearing actually! I considered changing it when I had to get new sprockets a couple months ago. My friend Naim says he's got a 19 tooth on his which is great for cruising speed, but suffers a bit when going up hills, I think 18 tooth is probably the best of both worlds, especially judging by how you say yours pulls like a steam train 😁 Maybe next time!
Great video. I have the chance to buy one of these and wanted to know what they were like on the road. Thanks.

They're superb on the road. 😁 As long as you're happy sitting around 50 mph most of the day, it's a great motorcycle 👌 Plus, for touring its very economical, does about 250 miles per tank!

@@BulletWanderer That's no problem because I have other bikes made for speed and would want the bullet for the back roads and just to enjoy the scenery.

I think there,s something special riding a big single down country lanes,,, My bike is a RE Himalayan (bored out to 462) I like to use little braking ,mostly rear.. Enter corners in 3rd/4th then open the throttle wide and chase down the road,it so satisfing ..I seldom go over 60 and hardly ever go above 5000revs,,its simply magic !!! Im thinking of buying the BSA 650,,,, but then have to ask myself , will it be value for money after the Himalayan ,somehow I think probably not....
@BulletWanderer

Definitely is a kind of magic 😁 I've often wondered about the BSA 650, bit expensive over here in Ireland, and yet to see any second hand examples on the market!
