About Royal Blood
Brighton duo Royal Blood comprising drummer Ben Thatcher and bassist/vocalist Mike Kerr formed at the beginning of 2013. They quickly made their presence known, with pounding drums and heavily distorted bass guitar defining characteristics of their ferocious blues-rock sound. The band gained many plaudits early in their career, touring with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop and Foo Fighters, before going on to win Best British Group at the Brits in 2015 receiving their trophy from their musical hero and admirer Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Their catalogue boasts the Mercury Prize nominated self-titled debut album released in 2014 that spawned hits such as "Out of the Black, "Little Monster:, "Come On Over" and "Figure it Out", as well as their second successive UK number one album "How Did We Get So Dark?" released in 2017 which featured "Lights Out" and "I Only Lie When I Love You".

The best thing of F1 2021, was discovering Royal Blood.
My favorite Royal Blood memory is taking mom to a QOTSA show where Royal Blood was opening. I told mom she should probably listen to them because they were awesome and she said she wanted it to be a surprise. 30 seconds into the beginning of their set and she turns around and looks at me and nods emphatically like "YES!!!!"

I saw them play together in Boston, and you can tell most of the people were there for QOTSA. But the entire crowd had looks of awe on their faces when Royal Blood was done with their set.

@NightFox I disagree with you there. Billie Eilish is the perfect example that “depressed” music doesn’t have to be a problem, besides that, I don’t think most rock bands make depressed music. The genre isn’t much profiting for record labels anymore, and I think that’s the major problem.

@NightFox depressing isn’t bad. Drivers License is world most stream song at the moment and is very depressing. For Billie Eilish, I think she is very talented and wrote brilliant songs since she was 15. If you like her or don’t like her, you can’t deny that “depressing” music can be succesful, and there are much rockbands whose music isn’t “depressing” or sad.

Mike has a way with riffs, really. Even on more poppy tracks the riffs are headbang material like few others.

They release their singles so early that “around the corner” is like 9 months. Seriously, Trouble’s Coming was released in SEPTEMBER for an APRIL album.
It’s a lot more dance influenced than their last two albums, but it still kicks ass like their last two albums.

Yeah same, I'm glad they're switching it up. As much as I liked the old style, the first two sounded the same and I do think every album should have somewhat of a different sound

I've been discovering this band for a month now, and there are a lot of incredible tracks. This one makes you want to run for a rally.
