Roy Williams chokes up over his mom giving him 10 cents

Ойын-сауық

Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams shares fond stories of his mother Lallage (aka Mimmie), including her joy when Roy became the first in the family to go to college, her supporting the family in the face of financial turbulence and two separate (relatively small) monetary gifts to Roy that still evoke emotions today. Plus, Roy’s children Kim and Scott chime in to offer their warm memories of their grandmother.

If you just look at his tenure and success in the ACC, there’s no telling how many wins and championships he would have. Kansas is a great school but he kept losing top prospects, high school players, to Kentucky, Duke, UCLA, Indiana. He rebuilt the KU program which was in probation when he was hired, and turned it into a perennial contender. Great coach, Top 5 in my opinion.

I'm from Kansas city and myself and many uncle's my dad all went to Mizzou. Roy Williams took over KU from Larry brown. Ku mu hed a fierce rivalry for over 109 year's. We thought that mu was going to dominate the big 8 for awhile. Unfortunately coach Willam's had something else in mind. As much as I dislike ku Roy Williams was a great coach and ambassador for the game.
