The Phat Bhoy pick has been meticulously developed over the last 30 years by Roy Marchbank,, virtuoso guitarist and composer. It is the only pick he uses to facilitate his amazing technique.
The Phat boy is a unique, multi faceted, 9mm thick plectrum, designed to give clean notes played with less restriction. This can provide more power and precision as well as speed when required, as Roy demonstrates here. Got the Phat Bhoy classic a couple of days ago and it has really helped with my speed and accuracy. I find I can get a lot more volume and far less scratching noises at high speeds. First pick I've used that has been truly innovative. Thank you Roy.

2:22 - Reminds me of a real-time play through of Shawn Lane’s “Kaiser Nancarrow”!!! If you’re familiar with how even HE had to record that tune, you’ll understand why being able to do anything even remotely similar in real time is just this side of impossible!

@@FloridaManMatty had to put the Nancarrow video on hold, along with the review of the Vigier SL model. I got several pieces of paying work that came in so must prioritise those. I am full on with those til end of March but I won’t forget about these videos and the A Second Look project. All the Shawn Lane related videos I did were made in order to boost subscriptions to the Shawn Lane YT channel. Thankfully they served their purpose and the channel became monetised. I believe that means that Ashley, Shawn’s daughter now benefits. It was my pleasure to help do that for the channel but right now I have to concentrate on what brings in the bucks! Hope all is good with you.
Hi! I want to express my gratitude at such an incredible product. I want to say that this is the first time something other than studies and books make me feel that I will be a better musician. I have over 100 picks and I will never use anyone of them ever again, the Phat Boy is the real deal.
