Roy Clark - Folsom Prison Blues
Ойын-сауық
Roy Clark Folsom Prison Blues live on TV
Roy Clark Folsom Prison Blues lyrics
I hear that train a-commin', it's rollin' around the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me, son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry
I bet there's rich folks eatin' in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinking coffee and smoking big cigars
But I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those people keep a-movin' and that's what tortures me
Well if that freed me from this prison
and that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

Roy Clark wasn't only one of the greatest guitarists to ever live, he was also one of the greatest entertainers. He loved to make people laugh and smile with his music. This man is truly a legend.

Roy Clark and Chet Adkins is the best guitar ever rock or country.. Barr none
He was my Great Uncle and a master of anything with strings. He never got the recognition he deserved but was one of the best guitarist to ever pick one up.

When I was a kid, my Great Grandma bought me a guitar. A few months later I was at her house playing it, and she said I was gonna be the next Roy Clark. I didn't really know anything about him at the time--and I replied I was gonna be like my uncle since I'd started playing to emulate him. Years later I would discover what a talented musician he was. And a gifted entertainer as well. Just yesterday I watched a clip of your Uncle Roy in the 1960s doing this same bit. He was amazing. Do you know when this one was done?

He, being an amazing guitarist, made every performance so enjoyable to watch. I started to notice that he did the same routine over and over for years, and each video I watched where he performed this amazing song, he had the same energy, he had this charisma that I couldn't help but notice, he was a great performer, one of the best ever in my opinion!
Sir you can be sick, and love your music will be in my veins forever. Love it till the day I die.

Fabulous singer, guitarist and comedian. I love Roy Clark forever.
Roy has to be considered one of the greatest 6 string guitar players of all time. Don't forget, at the age of 15, he was named one of the worlds' best banjo pickers. He also was a great fiddler.
Talent that simply doesn’t exist today. Then, it was the music and the quality of the talent and today, it’s image.
Roy could play well anything with strings on it, honestly. Cheers.
He was an excellent musician and performer. RIP Roy!
Songs are never in the voice, they are in the heart...
