What a legend.. Ive known this womans voice since I was 12yrs old.. She wasn't much older than me, she was 14 I think, I didn't even know that, I presumed she was around 19..im 49/50 now.. So she must only be 52/53... Awesome. So pleased this woman has gotten the recognition she deserves.
We all grew together through hip hop... That's my big sister in spirit ..she is fyah...
Roxanne is amazing, very humble. Reminds me of a lot of me in the sense that we know we can make a huge difference even in men’s lives. Respectfully and wisely. These men need guidance, especially the young ones.

Now I did enjoy the film I just believe they weren't truly authentic about a lot of things that actually went down.

(Your comment is old so ignore this if you don't need or want an answer anymore) Because he started looking at her differently and tried to rape her. In the movie, he came in and she was wearing her pjs (t shirt and shorts) and he got weird about it, did cocaine, got more weird, and tried to rape her. He "came to his senses" apparently and told her she had to leave so he wouldn't be around her anymore
