Route 413 and Frosty Hollow Auto Extrication | 12/22/17 | Levittown, PA.
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
On scene video of a mid day auto extrication rescue assignment at the intersection of Route 413 and Frosty Hollow Road in Middletown Township, PA. Emergency services including fire rescue were dispatched to the area at 12:04 after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a traffic accident with multiple people trapped and injured.
Middletown Police and Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad arrived first on the scene and found a two vehicle accident with two people trapped in an overturned Chevrolet Equinox and two more patients in the other suv involved, a Hyundai Santa Fe.
First trapped occupant of the overturned vehicle was extricated by EMS preceeding arrival of firefighters. An occupant of the Santa Fe was secured on a gurney while the third patient was up and walking around with an apparent leg injury. He was later transported to the emergency room by Bucks County Medic 143.
William Penn Engine 77 arrived on the scene around 12:08 and their chief aboard assessed the situation; confirming one person still trapped in the overturned Equinox. Penndel Rescue 8 arrived moments later and went in service to stabilize the vehicle and proceeded to use hydraulic tools to remove the roof.
Two rescue companies from Bristol Township; Newportville Rescue 82 and Levittown #2 Rescue 13 were called in to assist as well due to the initial report of multiple victims trapped. Since there was already an adequate number of crews on the scene; Rescue 13 was recalled upon their arrival.
The patient trapped in the overturned vehicle was extricated at 12:23 and loaded into a Penndel-Middletown ambulance. A total of four people were taken to area hospitals with injuries, non of which were life threatening.
Tow operators from MasterCraft and Simon's Towing companies recovered the vehicles and picked up debris as well as motor fluids from the roadway. The intersection was cleared shortly before 1:00. Middletown Township Police are investigating the accident.
This video was uploaded with the intent of local news reporting and documentation of the emergency services.

All these emergency responders are just plain wonderful.
why can't all the people in the world be as tough and as gentle as the first responders. The world would then be an incredible place to live in

Because who's going to built the firetrucks? Who's going to build the firehouse? The tools and gadgets they use? There is a lot of important people in the world with incredible talent that help society in big ways..........and no one will ever speak a word about them!!!
Anyone trained to run into a fire rather than out deserves respect or maybe caution! What a great job they do with so little thanks .

08:22 it appeared to be a tough extracation, i hope the pt. had non-life threatening injuries, and made a speedy recovery! Another Awesome Video Ron! Be Safe out there On-Scene....
It doesn't matter if you are a policeman or a firefighter, they are all first responders! Thanks to each and everyone of you. You are all special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love you guys and gals.
That rescue truck is enormous! Talk about mutual aid, it looked like there were at LEAST four different engine/rescue companies and three different ambulances representing three separate services on that scene. I wonder how far they were from the nearest level one trauma facility? That was quite a coordinated effort!. Looks like they were either close enough to the hospita,l or the injuries minor enough to not require evacuation by air.

from the scene they are about 20 minutes from Torresdale which is a Level 1 Trauma and I think about another 20 from St Mary’s.
Beautiful Rescue Truck There Great Job on the Clip
Good steady camera work. Thanx for staying all the way to the end.

thanks for the feedback much appreciated
im really surprised they didnt open the hood and cut the ground wire to the battery to prevent potential sparks and fire, note hazard lights blinking
Saw many actions like this but this was one of the best. My compliments!!!!
Cutter and spreader connected to their hoses (ready for use). I've never seen that before in this way.

Thanks for watching. If you're just going to be monitoring the radio for fire and EMS calls just buy a cheap analog radio like the one David is talking about. Bristol Borough has their repeater channel which simulcasts Buck County's P25 radio system for fire dispatch / south fire band from an antenna on Grundy Tower. That is broadcasted over 460.6250 You'll hear fire dispatch for the entire county as well as south band on that frequency. Whenever somebody keys up on fire south it will cut out fire dispatch. If you want to hear just fire dispatch it's 155.5500. Use that frequency if you travel out of Lower Bucks. That works county wide unlike the borough repeater which cuts out past Newtown or Morrisville. 155.5500 and the east band repeater 151.2200 I can hear as far out as West Windsor, NJ.

At the 10:35 point in this video what were the chains dangling under the rear of the ambulance for? is it some kind of earthing/grounding for medical equipment on board?

Very well written, sounded just like a trip sheet.
good job
wow....what a good services and humanity...... I like it....pak
hood ( bonnet ) open, battery disconnect anybody? spilt fuel and a spark,
Job well done...
Why is it the Police get all the glory? I think Fire Fighters are braver than Police due to the fact that go into into more hazardous situations on a daily basis than cops do. My hat off the the Firefighters(includes EMS)

Ron Roberts yes, this seems to happen in the US, but not so much here in the UK. There's usually all sorts of debris left at the scenes of RTC's. I was very impressed to see the person filling the black bag with debris.

Priorities, injured person trapped needs to come out. Another brigade was there with a charged hose line in case of fire. Initialize up would have determined fire risk and put in control measures while the extrication took place.

Very poor eye, face and airways protections. You guys need to improve the helmets, seriously. Keep those good old leather for the ceremony ans the living room decoration, move on to real fire helmets.

@MarcelPichault
6 жыл бұрын
Not talking about money issues here, but rather the active will of most firefighters to keep the traditionnal helmets at all cost. I see Fire Dept buying brand new "traditionnal" helmets every year... Same goes for the "metro" style, I really don't understand the point of buying those... If your Dept can't renew the helmets, then you have a reason for using the old ones, sorry though.
