I remember when I looked at an article a few months ago about how they're going to release an add-on for the Sega Dreamcast to add more data, (and towards saving your save file) and potentially have early DLC (Ya know, the Sega Dreamcast ZIP Drive)

Its my head canon that Rouge was present and undercover at the train station during the events of SA1. Her english VA voiced one of the station announcers. :P

The fact there was two entirely new cutscenes made for the mod goes to show how much polish it has! Knuckles pretty much dies until the end, like how Tails did in Cream's story 🤣. It's cool that Rouge's kick gets jump height vs Knuckles punch that stays grounded.

Or perhaps a splice of the two. Have Sonic's amount of stages but if it's one that Tails also plays then it's a Tails Race stage, otherwise it's just a Sonic stage

When people can't tell sentence mixing from AI anymore... It would be a disservice to Lani Minella, who is a legend. She was the OG VA for Rouge back in SA2 and Heroes. Anyways, it takes a lot of work and effort to really make good cutscenes from splicing and mixing voice lines from different games to help re-create cutscenes with mod characters. I honestly can't wait for SA hacking to evolve further, so they don't have to replace a character to do so, they can have a spot on the character selection screen.

Lani Minella was also the voice of Nancy Drew in the old PC games. Unlike Ivy, her Nancy sounds a lot like her Rouge. I wouldn't be surprised if they used some Nancy lines here.

The cutscene reanimation was masterfully done and felt genuine with the dialogue chosen, even the new camera moves, and implementing Rouge into Knuckles' original cutscene like some alternate timeline.

Just like Rouge herself, this mod is a gourgeous gem 💎

The fact that they figured out how to code in new cutscenes as WELL as new lines never will cease to amaze me. I still remember when everything was just Sonic recolors and had his voice and story on everything no matter what the character. Modding has come SUCH a long way and that’s one of the few awesome things about the future that I’m really happy to be here to see.

SA1 Rouge actually looks good

Fun fact: Rouge's voice in the Adventure era is Lani Minella, during the credits I was wondering if the mod maker slipped her name into the English voice cast lineup. She wasn't in the voice cast section, but directly under is the "Post Recording Director" and alongside Bobby White is none other than Lani Minella. 39:25 That is so crazy that someone modded Rouge with her voice lines but she's in the game originally but just not doing voices. Also she voices Bubsy in Bubsy 3D

She infamously has some very funny stories to tell about how Yuji Naka really messed with the casting and recording process for Sonic Adventure. Absurd things like how he wanted the voice actors to "look like the parts they were doing", or how they had to have ryan drummond say "glub glub" out loud for sonic's drowning voice line instead of actually acting like he was drowning.

I like her in both SA2 and Bubsy 3D, but I honestly think she does a much better job as Bubsy. There’s just a more clear voice direction and better acting for her in that role imo.

Finally a rouge adventure version 1 for Dreamcast, and I didn't expect anything, out of nowhere there's a story of its own (and knuckles got lost all this time), but this mod is very well done

I think I'm in love with Sonic's hatred towards Rouge the Bat...

Makes sense. If we can have Cream's story, we can have Rouge's story too. And I like the little detail of the fangs in Rouge's mouth in cutscenes. Makes alot of sense, she is a bat in the first place.

All I can say the SA1 Rouge the bat model actually looks very good :) I can't wait until someone makes a SA1 model of Silver the Hedgehog too - and then a SA1 model of E-123 Omega too after that :)

It's nice to have a different character like Rouge getting some attention from the modding scene for once rather than just Sonic all the time.

If Sega does a Sonic adventure remake, this would be a perfect option for a secondary character that has the same mission set but having different dialogue

This is why i love sa1 because you can keep adding mods to this

The amount of love both Sonic Adventure and Sonic adventure 2 get by fans and mod-dev's is amazing to see. We as a community are the reason these two games are still thriving and fun to play.

This is beautifully authentic!

I love the subtle characterization of Rouge. She comes off as a young greedy teenager in way over her head with how she enthusiastically tosses herself into any brawl then blames it on the other party, very different from the older and more mature cannon characterization. That's not to mention the love put into her model and the new cutscenes (and reworking of other characters in the original cutscenes).

This is too perfect

The model doesn't perfectly fit, but other than that, this is what I'd call a high quality story mod; hopefully they continue to evolve as SADX modding gets easier and easier.

Alright, this is the most awesome and most surprising mod I've seen so far! Feels like some actual lost DC DLC!!! XD And people saying "early DLC form", you know the Dreamcast had DLC... on Jet Set Radio, the two SA titles, etc.!

Rouge is one of the best girl characters in sonic love how she plays on Knuckles and can even knock him off the island without touching him she just loves collecting gems she be good friends with spyro then

Rouge vs Knuckles cutscenes in Sonic Adventure is very well created good job to the people who made this brilliant rouge's story also happy 30th anniversary to knuckles the Echidna since he first appeared in Sonic 3 on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive back in 1994. 💖❤

Astor, attempt to blare it ass loud as you can into your ear. That’s what I did, volume all the way as physically possible , LOUD, and put it right up to my ear, i gritted I bared I gnashes my teeth but the constant jarring of the egg carrier theme just blammed me so hard

Duuude this is so sick(in a good way)!

When I played SA2 first time I find quite interesting both Rouge and Shadow as an introduced new characters, and I used to play SA1 really hard before, and still I find it comfy to see in 3D for first time all the familiar characters (that's maybe the reason for SEGA to waiting for the sequel for creating anything new).

If Sonic Adventure ever gets a remake, it should make Rouge, Cream, Omega and the Chaotix playable. It could show how Rouge became a government agent, Cream doing whatever Cream did before meeting Sonic, Omega and how he was created and the Chaotix and how they met and became a detective agency
