You have no idea how much I’ve missed this feeling, being genuinely excited for the next Sonic game, no real worries, all because of the way people are talking about it, and what they’ve shown us. My only concern is the music, I hope that Ohtani doesn’t stick with EDM, that doesn’t fit Shadow, nor does it mesh well with Generations already established style of music. Plus it would kind of butcher the original feeling of the tracks, especially Kingdom Valley. I hope they do Kingdom Valley justice, Crisis City was nice in the original Generations, but Kingdom Valley is the face of 06. Say what you will about the game, Kingdom Valley is an important representation of it, and it’s also the last time Shadow was really himself before the new era of writers took over and flanderized him.

this game would go crazy on a stage similar to spagonia with tight alleyways and straight lines. some curved roads here and there to drift. and multiple branching paths in the alleyways. imagine you homing attack an enemy above into an apartment then you have to quickstep out of it or something along those lines. Either way crazy how a dreams game is more engaging than any sonic game in the past decade

Ehhh…can’t say I’m terribly impressed by what’s been shown here. Like, don’t get me wrong; Letting players use full analog control to move Sonic through the levels is definitely a nice quality-of-life update that was desperately needed. And the buff in acceleration added to make Sonic move a little faster is also a welcome change. But…if I’m being brutally honest…all of these changes feel kinda hollow to a certain extent; None of the levels (at least based on what I’ve observed here) have been modified in any way to accommodate for this new full analog movement. (Hell, Sonic can’t even run backwards, which makes the change to full analog control feel even more hollow.) At the bare minimum, Sonic needs to be able to run backwards, and the levels need more alternate routes and shortcuts.
