I had a very naughty windhound mix and when she didnt obey, a friend of hers (a mix of irish wolfhound and giant Schnauzer, 60 Kg) used to take her whole head in his mouth or he ran her over. To me its more a sign of educational dog behaviour.

I have a Pitbull/Boxer/Husky mix that has a steel trap for a mouth. When she clamps down it is hard to get something out of her mouth. But when she accepts a piece of food or is playing, she is extremely dainty. I can feed her something off of a fork and she doesn't even touch the fork with her teeth.

i am playfighting with my dog every day since 7 years. it makes him happy. he never made the tiniest scratch on me with his teeth ever (because we fight so often he is very sensitive with his mouth). even if we move really fast and the object that he wants is in my hands, if he accidentaly catches my hand, its always gentle. but beware of the claws^^ i almost always have scratches from the front paws claws, when he tries to stop a fast moving toy (held by me) with the pawns.

Not entirely true. I had a Belgian Malinois, and he was treated very well. Would protect me with his life. But, I witnessed him killing baby rabbits, despite screaming for him to come back, attacked a cat once, pigeons and even though I'd be upset with him for days, and he knew, even had a look of guilt and would want to avoid the carcass afterwards, I could not control its prey drive. My dog might simply tear this puppy to shreds. Its in its DNA.

Hilarious enough he adjusted well, but the other dog (boxer great dane mix) got bullied by the cat when she was a kitten. The rottie doesn't borther the cat the cat doesnt bother him. I even caught them snuggling. You gotta introduce them slowly calming. Also puppies are your safest bet. Dogs arent goldfish they wont canablize or kill their young. This all happened in a February blizzard at about 7500' in SW Colorado. I originally found 6 puppies that the mom led me to. After getting them settled into my nice warm camper trailer, I went back to the shed to double check. That's when I found one more tiny male who had managed to get himself stuck under an old couch. The wind died down just enough to let me hear his frozen whimper. He was almost gone but I placed him against my skin inside my parka. And tore that shed apart to make sure I didn't miss any others. I loved that, as is typical with Dodo videos, the voiceover during the head-in-mouth moment was at odds with the visual...we can visualize the big dog devouring the little one, while hearing how sweet he is. And of course...he totally is. Dodo twists us into a pretzel with humor.

I love Rotties. I've had 4 myself over the years and they are such great dogs. They know their strength and capabilities and will be very gentle with puppies and small breed dogs as well. They are also great with babies and small children. They are tough dogs and don't get hurt very easily, so if a baby or small child pulls their ears or slaps them, it doesn't hurt them plus they acknowledge that these small humans mean them no harm and like a puppy. They are very gentle and even protective over a baby or toddler. I'd take my Rotts to dog parks often and some people would be afraid that they would hurt their puppy, but I assured them not to worry. They would love to play with the puppies and act just like one themselves. Like I said; they know their strength and power and are very gentle with puppies. They would even submit to the puppies by running from them and then lying down when the puppy was playing and biting them. There's something calming about Rottweilers that puppies pick up on. They sense that they're safe to be around them and try to engage them in playing with them.

All my Rottie's we're like this when we brought a new "family" member home. Our last was a Blue Pittie, rescued from a fighting situation. (They were dumping her at the pound because she wouldn't fight) We just happen to be walking in to look for our next rescue & we took her right then & there in the parking lot. She was only 12 weeks old, full of scars & her ears were poorly cut w/rusty scissors, almost down to her head😭 Got her home & my Rottie somehow knew he needed to go slow w/her. Within 2 days, she was jumping on him, bringing him toys & running around the yard. They're favorite pastime is tug of war😆 She is now a healthy happy 5 yr old. We also have 2 other dogs & 2 cats. She just adores the kitties, despite all she had been through ❤️🐾

When we got our Jack Russell five years ago, we thought our lab would be great with it, but was concerned about our Shepherd. She’s the queen bee, the smartest one, and our guard dog. Well, our lab was okay with it. But they sort of developed into rivals and spend more time doing things to purposely annoy each other. So the Jack Russel turned to the shepherd for a playmate, and at first she didn’t want anything to do with him. Well, he wouldn’t give up either. And then she started to respond in a way that was like, “I deign to notice you, peasant.” Anyway, it’s been that way ever since. Well, until recently. Now she’s too old to play with him and in the next couple of weeks I’m going to have to get her put down because she has cancer. But poor Joey. He just doesn’t understand. He barks at her almost constantly, like: “Play with me, play with me!” Of course, she can’t. And she can’t hear him anyway.

Rotties are such gentle giants. My family has had three in total. Two were when I was very young, maybe a toddler. My parents never planned on having rotties btw, one just followed my mom home one day and she was like “well guess we have a second dog now.” They we’re practically second mothers to my brother and I. They’d come check on us constantly and would follow us around the house and let us lean on them for support when we were learning to walk. Our current rottie is my boy. He is so good with kids. He’s normally very rambunctious but he’s like hyper aware of himself when he’s around small children, he makes sure not to knock someone over. He’ll find the nervous ones and just sit on their foot and lean against them. He’s the sweetest boy.

My first experience with Rottweiler is when I was about 7-8 y old. My family just moving to new house and greet new neighbor, who got this really big dog. The dog looks really scary and intimidating, but he really nice and friendly to us (in first meeting) I forgot his name already, but I never forgot my first impression

I had one from elementary through high-school. Was almost like a babysitter. Waited for us to catch bus to school then be waiting for us to get home. Used to practice his herding skills with my bro a sis when we had deep snow running back and fourth knocking us over to stay put. 😆 Love Rottweilers!

So refreshing to watch this. This is the substance of material that should be on every platform. I'm so tired of seeing violence on platforms which are creating a norm by over broadcasting violence everyday Yay puppy love
