  • @elcee8

    @elcee8

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@MadAboutSkin Marula oil has a high oleic acid content, great for people with dry, aging skin. I believe it's the high linoleic acid content in rosehip seed oil that helps with acne as supposedly some people's acne is caused by not enough linoleic acid? (Correct me if I'm wrong). That aside, I feel like rosehip seed oil really helped my skin, but I reached more for the Marula oil because it's lighter and I love the feeling of it more. Marula oil also helped brightened my skin and also felt like my skin absorbed it better than the rosehip seed oil which felt like it sat on my skin longer. I've tried both drunk elephant and the ordinary, to be honest I liked the Ordinary marula oil better.

    we love rose hip oil! however, NO oils, no matter their composition, are sufficient in creating a true occlusive layer that will seal in hydration and sufficiently quell Trans-epidermal water loss. you need some sort of silicone for that, or another ingredient to that effect. it is however, full of nourishing vitamins such as A and C; the content of these vitamins will not be the same between each aliquot of the oil as natural oils have naturally varying amounts due to the conditions it’s been produced in (ie, nutrients of soil, weather, humidity etc). it’s a fantastic ingredient though!!! xxx

    I have super oily combo skin and I tried various brands of organic cold-pressed rosehip oil for around 1.5 years. Here's what I think about it: - Rosehip oil does have a more "dry"/matte finish than many other oils, but it still felt oily/greasy on my skin. - Initially it may have decreased my skin's oil production, but I couldn't tell because the rosehip oil added an oily layer that negated the effect. - It worked perfectly fine under makeup and sunscreen. - It didn't break me out or improve my skin. I noticed no changes to my usual acne or hormonal breakouts - no worse and no faster healing. Despite the claimed benefits, it couldn't compare to active ingredients like real vitamin C or retinol products. - It was not moisturizing enough. My skin would have a layer of oil on the surface but still be dehydrated and flaky underneath, and became especially dry in winter. I had to combine it with other products (like aloe and serums) to protect my skin from dryness. - Rosehip oil expires faster than other skincare products. Basically, I noticed no benefits or negatives of rosehip oil compared to other skincare products. This year during covid lockdown, I finally stopped using rosehip oil and have been gradually changing my entire skincare routine. Personally, I find that using nice niacinamide serums/toners and gel moisturizers specifically formulated for oily skin has been way better at reducing my oiliness while increasing my skin's hydration and treating my acne. My skin feels healthier and less greasy. I'm still on my skincare journey, but I can say that I definitely gave rosehip oil a solid try.

    @@ajaydabest7 I really love the IUNIK Centella Calming Gel moisturizer! It's usually less than $15 on Amazon, YesStyle, etc. It has great ingredients, feels soft and not tacky, keeps my skin matte (well, at least longer than other moisturizers), and is super gentle. I was testing Nizoral for a couple weeks to see if I have fungal acne (I don't), and Nizoral made my skin really dry and sensitive. Even my most gentle moisturizers and toners stung when I first applied them. However, the IUNIK gel moisturizer didn't burn at all, and really soothed my damaged skin barrier. My sister (who has normal skin) also tried it and she made the switch over to the IUNIK gel too. The only thing is that it's probably not moisturizing enough for people with dry skin -- you'd want to add an additional moisturizing toner or serum.

    Hey hun thank you so so much for sharing your experiences with this it is so valuable to get the feedback from someone who has been using it for such a length of time. I think that for the hydration alone its a lovely ingredient but I am totally aware that products react totally different on different skins, I will update after I have been using it a little longer but I think what you are saying is a totally fair reflection and your right a good niacinamide can do wonders for the skin xx

    Started using post pregnancy to help with pigmentation and the dry patches that pregnancy caused. Worked a treat. Agree the Ordinary is so much more affordable and better quality than the other organic cold pressed brand i was using. I have sebaceous filaments on my nose. Thought they were blackheads. I use TO AHA BA peel twice a week. Salicylic Masque twice a week. 0.5 Retinol 3 times a week. Niacinamide morning and night. Buffet morning. VIT C made me breakout i felt so i stopped using that. However i have found that when i wake my nose and next to my nose in my smile lines...my pore arent getting smaller. Still clogged by the morning. Prior to watching this was starting to wonder it it came from my RoseHip. Ive only been at this skin care stuff for 3 months. Except for the Rose Hip i used post pregnancy to help lift the pigmentation. Ive never bothered with moisturiser or cleansing etc. (Other than a flannel and hot water lol). I dont have bad skin really. Blind pimples a few times a year. Maybe some white heads in the creases of my nose. Prio to babies had very oily skin. Now just T-Zone is super oily and drier patches. Anyway just sharing. Will keep using Rose Hip. Great Vid thank you!

    @@LittleMissBettyPage It is of course more expensive then TO, but the quality is unsurpassed. I have tried a lot of different rosehip oils in the past and this one is my all time favorite and i also saw the most difference in my skin. Not all oils are created equal, it really depends on the source of the ingredients and also how it is extracted. Most rosehip oils are cold pressed, which is fine. But the Pai oil is uses a CO2 extraction method which yields a far more potent oil with their constituents still fully intact. They not only use the seeds but the WHOLE plant. This oil is therefor also bright orange, because the beta carotene levels are extremely high and will last 2x as long as normal rosehip oil without going rancid :)

  • @sorayariza6270

    @@MadAboutSkin You are so welcome Rob ! I cannot recommend this oil enough :) I think i have tried almost all rosehip oils on the market and this one stands head and shoulders above the rest ! It is a super haling, miracle oil that has some very potent well aging properties. What makes this particular oil so special is that Pai uses the whole plant instead of only the seeds, which ramps up the beta carotene content immensely. It is also bright orange, unlike other rosehips which usually have a yellow, pale orange color. They also use CO2 extraction to preserve the integrity of the ingredient which will result in a more vitamin and nutrient dense oil . I am curious what your experience will be with this oil ! Looking forward to the review :) By the way, Congrats Rob for taking the leap of faith and dedicating your time to YT only, i bet it will pay off big time ! Love you and your content !! @@sorayariza6270 thanks for the response. I think I'm gonna have to try this after I've whittled down a couple of things I am trialling at the moment to compare with each other. As soon as one product from that head to head is eliminated there will be a space for me to try a new product. I try not to test too many new things at the same time although sometimes I can't help myself. I think that I have 4/5 cleansers up at the moment. I do hate to waste products so I will use the ones that I won't be buying again sporadically in place of the products that have made the permanent cut so that they get used up. or I'll send them on to my cousin but only if the they are good products though and that the reason is something like I'm allergic to something or it doesn't suit my skin type. I wouldn't pasd crappy ones on to her. Thanks to hyram, Rob, Cassandra benson and James Welsh the number of products that I use seem to keep increasing. I tell myself that becasue I make a DIY serum using 1-2 drops of TO buffet, 1-2 drops TO hyaluronic acid and 1-2 drops of TO niacinamide, that they only count as one serum 😂 I shall look forward to giving this rosehip oil a go once I've made a space. Thank you for the recommendation and your review! 🖤
